Finished up FAWM this evening - 15 songs in 28 days. I'm pretty happy with a lot of what I ended up with - you can see it here: write.fawm.org/@rocketgrrrl

I just rewatched episode 1 of Strange New Worlds. Captain Pike's speech about the future of Earth meant something much more to me now. We can all see where we're headed - the terrible place we could find ourselves. Can we just...not?

#folk #songwriting #music For World Social Justice Day, I've recorded and posted my song 'For Granted' to FAWM. You can find it here: write.fawm.org/songs/312912

Latest FAWM song. Very happy with this one. write.fawm.org/songs/307533

Third FAWM song written onto sheet music. Have to wait till tomorrow to record. It’s called “Never Told You.” I’m really happy with the bridge.

Second FAWM song written and posted! A hopeful song, as well as one intended for my #LARP. You can find it here: write.fawm.org/songs/306256 #folk #filk

My first FAWM song is done! You can listen to the demo and read the lyrics here: write.fawm.org/songs/304814

First 2025 FAWM song written into sheet music! It is called 'Leaving'. Now I need to record and post it tonight. Have to keep up the pace of one song every other day. Stay tuned.

We're almost to February, which means I'm almost to my favorite yearly activity: February Album Writers' Month (FAWM). I'll be writing and demoing at least 14 songs in 28 days. You can follow me here - my first song will likely show up by February 2nd: write.fawm.org/@rocketgrrrl

I’n once again having coffee at my very favorite establishment in Fort Wayne Indiana - Firefly Coffee House.

Inside of a bathroom stall at the Philadelphia Airport this morning.

Or Bialik just released 'Because my mom said so.' I felt echos of Stross's Laundry Files, with lots of spy thriller-meets-supernatural-sci-fi-bureaucracy, and Tamsyn Muir's Gideon, with some fantastic fights with superpowered queer characters. I couldn't put it down. www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSG7WBL...

Which post-apocalyptic LARP character are you?

I love my LARP, and the people I spend time with there.

Pepper enjoying the snow, and Nessie the stuffed Loch Ness Monster in danger.

I recorded a one minute version of my song “Waiting by the Door”, playing my mandolin. It’s inspired by the story of Purim, when Mordecai must wait outside with the others not really welcome at the King’s celebration. I hope it helps some of us today. #music #folk

For our lunchtime ritual, Pepper gets a couple of leftover bits from my tomato. This is a Big Deal for a dog.

"Moonlight Visions" was the first song I wrote for 50/90 last year (write 50 songs in 90 days). This recording is my first time using video editing effects for scenes. FAWM (February Album Writer's Month, www.fawm.org) starts on the 1st. I'm looking forward to it so much! youtu.be/byX7NFBGJi0

Pepper and I have a morning ritual of me sharing leftover slivers of strawberry when I make strawberry syrup for pancakes.

I wrote this a few months ago. Seems perfect for my first post here. Let's test the waters on Bluesky. youtu.be/liBMku-UZZI
