It is remarkable that there are still people who believe that the reason hundreds of thousands of people have nowhere to live is that we haven’t made having nowhere to live unpleasant enough.

It should really concern us that we have managed to make elected office a frequently horrible job that rational, capable and principled people will commonly not want to do.

There's plenty of selling points if you're trying to get people over here from Twitter, but i think the simplest might be that this place could keep getting better for the foreseeable future, while the other spot is getting undeniably worse
