Hey… am I the only person who has noticed that DOGE = you know … Doge, as in the omnipotent rulers of Mediaeval and Renaissance Venice - the one who “acted as both the head of state and head of the Venetian oligarchy” (Wikipedia since it’s actually so well put)?
