Yesterday: gave feedback to final line edit of my media literacy graphic novel. In it, I wrote about media consolidation demolishing local news. Now: Lyft just passed where I had my first reporting job for a chain of Brooklyn newspapers (circulation 1,000,000). The building's a dollar store now.

Spent a fantastic hour in conversation with @sophiegilbert.bsky.social on C-Span discussing her insightful book, Girl On Girl, charting 1990s-2010 media misogyny. As a media critic I covered much of this at the time, so I'm thrilled she revisited it all for meaning and impact on Millennial women.

Finally got the line edit for my media literacy graphic novel back from the publisher this week. I finished 95% of the writing and did 95% of the panel art instructions a year ago--so excited we're at this point! Also: Finding all final fixes is meticulous, exhausting work. I've done it 3x so far.
