🚨 MARCH TO GAZA UPDATE: Canadian physician @yipengge.bsky.social just gave me a worrying update. The lead organizer for the delegation was detained hours ago and no one knows where he is. Witness had their phones confiscated and wiped clean. No clear response yet from the Canadian embassy.

Driving through the burns in northern Aaskatchewan was very wild- raining like crazy but lots of smouldering areas. Some signs of green coming in already.

"Supercells in Saskatchewan" sounds like a book in the Magic Tree House series.

tornado warning in effect - At 2:49 p. m. Central Standard Time Saturday, Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for South Central Saskatchewan. Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Hafford, Blaine Lake, Radisson and Borden.

severe thunderstorm warning in effect - At 1:38 p. m. Central Standard Time Saturday, Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for West Central Saskatchewan. Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Rabbit Lake and The Battlefords Park.

Across western Canada we have severe storm watches put up with a couple areas already going warned in Saskatchewan. They might get a couple brief tornadoes there, I'm less concerned about that for BC today. However storms have been over-producing this past number of days so pay attention.

Tornado in our area. Northwest Saskatchewan

Happening today! Come on by to hear me read from my book and get a book signed :)

This will kill people. And likely those most at risk. Diabolical.

Stay safe!

tornado warning in effect - At 7:33 p. m. Central Standard Time Friday, Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for Southwestern Saskatchewan.

Omg 😳

Marines detained a civilian, reportedly an Army veteran, in Los Angeles today. Extremely chilling sight. This is not ok. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

An Army vet heading to the VA took a wrong turn—and was detained by Marines in LA. While they acted professionally, their detaining him was likely illegal under the Posse Comitatus Act. It’s another line being crossed—and it puts our Marines in a bad spot. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

Sask. Premier Scott Moe and public safety officials provide update on wildfires – June 13, 2025

Manitoba communities prepare to return home after wildfires displaced thousands

On Thursday, Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew did an aerial tour of the province to see the extent of the wildfires. He commented on people preying on vulnerable evacuees, calling for them to ‘just cut it out.’

"[Singh] said he stayed in his basement, avoided windows and considered quitting politics over fears about his family’s safety. He decided to carry on but was forced to lead the NDP for a period under police protection." globalnews.ca/news/1122919...

Shocked Moe hasn’t plummeted with his wildfire response.

😂

“Sheri Parr…from Creighton… said she has been a supporter of Premier Scott Moe, but is disappointed with how he has responded….’Manitoba handled it hands down better than Saskatchewan,’ Parr said. "[Manitoba Premier] Wab Kinew has been out to tour these places & boots on the ground."

“In an 8-2 vote, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan on Friday left intact its Dec. 30 decision by a three-judge panel upholding the jury award.” Go @ejeancarroll.bsky.social!! www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

“They took so many passports - and didn’t know how to handle or process them - it was a mess,” @yipengge.bsky.social tells me just now. This comes as police are reportedly getting violent at the crossing in Egypt where marchers are trying to pass en route to the Rafah crossing.

We are proceeding ahead as planned. Despite around 170 people facing delays and deportation, we are still thousands here - organized and ready to march to Gaza to end the siege and blockade.

URGENT: Canadian physician @yipengge.bsky.social,who is marching to the Rafah crossing to break the siege, just told me he and many others — including Canadians — are being held up at a checkpoint between Egypt and Ismailia. Everyone’s passport has been taken and they aren’t being allowed to cross.

Regarding recent immigration actions and the Club World Cup.

Francos de Montréal is putting on over 110 concerts in the next 9 days and most of them are free 🎶 Here are 11 highlights, from June 13 to 21.

NEW: The CBP confirmed to @404media.co that it has been flying Predator drones over LA amid the protests. These Predator B drones are military-caliber UAVs used for aerial reconnaissance that can be armed. It further breaks the seal on federal involvement in civilian matters. More here:

I can’t help but laugh and yet be like ahhhh! 🤣🤣🤣

WATCH: “I WAS AN INTERPRETER IN AFGHANISTAN FOR 3 YEARS.” ICE grabs a man whose name they don’t even know at his immigration hearing, shackles him, expedites his removal. Q: Why would anyone ever help our military again? — Trump is endangering and weakening our military.

In San Francisco, the march to City Hall begins at Dolores Park, which (for those who don't live here) is between The Mission, a largely Latino neighborhood, and The Castro, a largely gay neighborhood. Always a lovely place for any kind of gathering, but feels very apt right now.

Miraculously one man survived. www.cbc.ca/news/world/a...

Today on Parliament Hill, we raised the Philippine flag in honour of Independence Day—a powerful moment of pride and reflection.
