Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...

My soul card - tap the energy of yours with a bit of memoir writing in session 3 of 'Writing the Tarot' jennyalexander.co.uk/writing_work...

@samillingworth.com @kirstenjack.bsky.social can you share?

It doesn't happen often but it's happening next month - and there are only three places still available! jennyalexander.co.uk/writing_work...

I loved my time as a write in residence @gladlib.bsky.social in February 2018, where I had a revelation about what I was doing and thinking about what would become #SomeOfUsJustFall as well as the poetry I intended to focus on there. Apply, apply apply! www.gladstoneslibrary.org/news/volume/...

Coming soon! April 24th -my new adult novel, with beautiful cover art and design by @owengent.bsky.social. When the ground shifts, where can one true thing be found? www.writersreviewpublishing.co.uk/our-books/th... #newbooks #newfiction #bookgroups #readinggroups #art #protest #purpose

Yes, yes. The joy of writing, it makes life bigger!

I love writing retreats but I never try to write anything! I'm there for the writers, the lovely creative atmosphere, but perfectly happy to enjoy the local area in the daytime when other people are at their desks

Big yes to this

Yes yes yes - Frank Cottrell Boyce doing a great job for children and children's reading

TEACHERS, LIBRARIANS, PARENTS! If you're looking for a free bookish activity for your kids, here's a lesson-long virtual school visit I did with @booktrust.bsky.social, all about how I went from being a young reader to writing books like Varjak Paw & Tyger! #BookSky www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWHw...

Thank you #PLR and thank you to all the librarians out there - especially in the children’s section. What you’re doing is incredibly important in this time where money is tight for so many families. To be able to find books and read widely is crucial for children. #SupportLibraries

I'd like to thank anyone who ordered one of my books from their library too - I'm sure that's helped my PLR from self-published books to start catching up with my trad published ones this year

Buy ANY book 18-19 Jan, and you could win a £250 Bookshop.org digital gift card! Every sale supports independent bookshops ❤️ uk.bookshop.org/lists/win-a-...

There are just 13 days left to submit your story up to 4K for the Bristol Short Story Prize! All shortlisted authors are published in our PRINT anthology and invited to a celebration at Writers' Day at the University of Bristol on 7 June. Full details: bssp.blogs.bristol.ac.uk

And also stories are the nature of our mind - just notice the processes of memory and decision-making - stories of the past endlessly developing, and story versions of the imagined future

I nearly cancelled my course about old people as protagonist, mentor and archetype because bookings were slow, but one of the participants has had the story she wrote accepted for publication and a second one's has been shortlisted in a Writing Magazine comp. I knew old people were interesting!

Stuck with your work-in-progress? Short of ideas? There's one place still up for grabs on my creative blockbusting workshop on the 25th jennyalexander.co.uk/writing_work...

Yes it’s time to start working towards leaving Meta. Yes it is not a business as usual situation. But please bear in mind you are scolding millions of artists, writers, musicians, creators, many of them queer, into boycotting their storefront overnight - with no viable alternative.
