A lot of people who got the measles as children died or suffered lifelong disabilities as a result. The measles vaccine was a godsend to worldwide public health, and it’s an absolute scandal that this lethally ignorant dolt has any power over public health.

This is laughably unconstitutional, and when it's struck down, I suspect Trump will just end public service loan forgiveness altogether.

husband: "Hey Siri, can you turn on the Sony television?" Siri: "Now playing: Disney hits." *intro to Let It Go begins* "SIRI, STOPPPPPP!"

GOOD

Donald Trump tried to illegally shut down funding for programs that millions of people rely on. Community health centers, Head Start programs, and charities are still having trouble accessing funds. Meanwhile, the taxpayers are paying for Trump's trip to the Super Bowl.

The weirdest division in my family is that my dad refuses to accept a shoes off household. My mom is from the Philippines and my dad is from Iowa. Today he dragged in dog poop off his shoes and I explained to him that’s why we don’t wear outdoor shoes in the house. Yet it didn’t deter him 🤮

Well that feels like the first victory of 2025!

@keenroy.bsky.social I forgot that you’re here, but so glad to see you! (To be fair I’ve been floating between the alternatives quite a lot)

If you’re in line to sack Patrick Mahomes, STAY IN LINE

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

Hey #sandiego. Do you know any local women who are driving important initiatives despite the current climate? Women who have vital positions or tasks that go on regardless of what this administration intends to do? Would love to know who these women in the San Diego area are!

This was not a gaffe

I hate ALL of the new AI features on iOS. Hate, hate, HATE.

This is the alert in #sandiego that apparently won’t load for me.

ARE YOU FOR REAL, sending out this alert IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THESE FIRES AND SANTA ANAS when THE LINK DOES NOT EVEN WORK OMG

Especially if you’re in SoCal, I highly recommend you download this app. www.watchduty.org

Thinking a lot about Jimmy Carter, born a white, rural man in 1924 in a strictly apartheid Georgia and how he became a champion for racial justice and human rights, demonstrating once again that racism, xenophobia, crass and selfish individualism, are always a choice.

Metaphors shouldn't be this on the nose, but let's let this one slide.

this here 👇🏽

We may not agree about politics or religion,,, but we can all agree that we want Mike Tyson to knock out Jake Paul

Yeah, let’s make “efficiency” the primary task for an overgrown 5yo who spent $44B on a company that is now worth barely $9B. I guess he very efficiently ruined it, so, I guess you can see where the government is headed now; by design, it seems. 💩

I still have really mixed feelings about posting my child on social media, so I figure this works for now: we are so thrilled to have welcomed a healthy baby boy, born earlier this month, with a full head of hair and all 10 fingers and all 10 toes. 💙👶🏻

Next week is my baby shower. This is all happening so fast! 🤰🏻

I waddled through Costco for over an hour today and my watch only gave me 2 minutes of exercise 😒

I see you trans friends! You’re beautiful and I’m so happy to share such fulfilling and wonderful friendships with a number of brave folx who live as they wish to be seen. And for my friends who aren’t ready to be out, I love and see you too. #TransDayOfVisibility 🏳️‍⚧️

Today is my namnsdag! My name day, that is. Nordic societies have days dedicated to different names. In Sweden, today (6 Oct) is the name day for Jennifer or Jenny.
