I’m angry, every day, about so many things. but I think I’m angriest about how stupid and unnecessary and careless all of this, and how many innocent people will die because of it.

He's not a "kid." He's an adult, with an important govt job. The posts weren't "stupid." They were hatefully racist. His life isn't "ruined." He lost a job. Holding a govt employee accountable is not a "reward" for a journalist. The reporter doesn't get a cookie.

It’s funny that we are all acknowledging that private health care is an absolute bureaucratic nightmare designed to limit treatment at the expense of patients’ lives and lots of people still believe that trans kids are just walking into medical facilities and getting treatment without question.
