I took an earlier bus home today and went by East High School during release time. Is blocking 2 lanes of East Wash without a care in the world normal. This after a driver blocked our bus at 1st. Was also 'lightly' sideswiped on East Wash today. It's like Mad Max out there.

I think it'll be important for engineers who've used safe system strategies to start crunching the numbers and framing it as "basic engineering" (which it is) rather than safe systems/safe streets/complete streets. It's dumb, but these terms are being targeted. usa.streetsblog.org/2025/02/14/s...
