Wilson Street nearly completed! A separated bikeway between the Cap City Trail and the Square.

Did you know you could probably walk outside your office and get a picture of traffic signals.

MISSION: RACCOONPOSSIBLE www.jsonline.com/story/news/l...

Whats more important to operations, the third lane on East Washington required by the state, or getting this driver off the side street loop detector? Signal runs free within a coordinated system. youtube.com/shorts/aKeMc...

So Madison (in '24) is providing more service but still around 70% pre pandemic ridership? I dont think 2024 fully represents the network redesign or BRT...I hope this is done for 2025 data comparing to 2019.

Genie: ok what do you want for your birthday Trump: a military parade, oh, and also millions of people on the street chanting my name Genie: okie dokie

I love mama Rosa!

I think we need to remove the red tape for genies to grant me wishes. www.theverge.com/news/686662/...

Some of my favorite new signal timing tricks to help reduce pedestrian delay is the ability to lock or not lock the next phase on a phase by phase basis in #Econolite controllers, and the late entry ped setup. www.youtube.com/shorts/VaOqi...

A new one

For the love of God stop shoving AI in our faces every living second. Yesterday my phone decided I needed some AI CC service...had to figure out how to shut that off. Then looked up the rules on an Agricola card...AI brought me to the Dept. Of Labor. Just calm down on the AI hype.

Had A good turnout for today's west side bike infrastructure tour.

This bike has given me nothing but issues...give me one more day of basic function.

Happy #bikeweek Thanks for the show #WPR

Signal pole stickers of Madison

A good morning on the path during bike week! Coffee, pastries, and some traffic signal talk. #bikeweek

There are more ways to prioritize transit than TSP. Use of vehicle overlaps can turn a long cycle into a short cycle for transit. youtube.com/shorts/10YVu...

Some more TSP. This time the activation of a queue jump at Farley (which can happen twice per cycle) initiates a 'fixed operation' at University & Ridge. youtube.com/shorts/bANV7...

Im having memories of @mikeduncan.bsky.social talking about Russia researching agricultural techniques...too high brow for us 'Mericans.

The MUTCD doesn't require pedestrian signals to he installed with traffic signals. This provides excuses for poor design. No ped signals, no crosswalks, medians which block the natural crossing path. If we had a stronger MUTCD, this would be a future, expensive, modernization project.

A dozen bikes in roughly the space of one vehicle stall. Happy Bike Week! #madisonbikeweek
