So many people are responding to the contemporary political moment as though it is still 2015. This means adopting the same outdated tactics that failed to yield long lasting results even under the most forgiving conditions. And yet people cling to them like they're our only chance.

Been thinking about this in Canadian context. Many powerful people continue openly supporting Canadian-backed genocide, while others dismantle life-saving harm-reduction measures as they pocket the blood money. Shaming these people after a public inquiry in 2045 does nothing. They count on that.

I honestly don’t know how any party that accepts this — and not saying the dems have — can ever again be competitive enough to overcome gerrymandering and voter inertia. The man did a Nazi salute. What are we doing here??

this!!!! it may be hard for some to accept that the government could be this cruel (especially when they've largely had positive interactions with law enforcement) but federal agents are, in fact, the one terrorizing immigrant communities right now.

Jessica Ramos’ deranged endorsement of Cuomo is great news for everyone who was interested in ranking Michael Blake but didn’t know who to bump from their top 5.

Apropos of nothing I feel like one of the most important things to help your kids develop is an ability to self-regulate.

You love to see it

As many of us people who study or work in tech tried to tell y’all, move fast & break things was always about POWER, not progress.

This post really made me realize how "woke" doesn't even just mean "anything non-cishet white," it literally means "anything that I perceive as being different from things I saw when I was 12 years old"

Politics: #COVID is over, the pandemic is over, go live and celebrate! Science: Calm down, there is much more that COVID can do to the body.... Scientists: This is bad, I think we can use COVID-19 as a prototypical disease model for ischaemia injury. 🙄🙄

My friends in high school used to call it Pacey’s Creek and it is wild how right they turned out to be. (This tweet is for geriatric millennials)

when you think about it, the palmer raids were the mean tweets of their time
