Brilliant! Thank you for championing children's voices. I'm keen to explore this area more.

Thank you #SPSP2025 for a wonderful (and really well organised) conference in gorgeous #Denver. The sustainability pre-conference and workshop on Q methodology were my highlights! Lovely to connect with new and familair faces again ☺️

Should we use "Climate Change", "Climate Crisis", "Global Warming" or another term for this environmental disaster? It doesn't seem to matter! @researchdigest.bsky.social just covered one of our papers led by @dgoldwert.bsky.social with @jayvanbavel.bsky.social & @madalina.bsky.social Check it out👇

Public consultation on radical climate solutions open until 28-Feb-25. Looking forward to the results. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

🚦 Did you know the UK leads Europe... in traffic delays? Inrix’s global #traffic scorecard shows 3 UK cities in Europe’s top 10 for delays. In the Southwest, #Bath & #Bristol delays grew by 1% and 5%. With rising congestion, Travel Demand Management is crucial to tackle gridlock and climate change.

Work by @cast-centre.bsky.social (2023) suggests properly communicating these co-benefits is really important for climate policy acceptability. Great to see this framing in mainstream media!

It was great to be involved in writing the grant application with Ruth Gibson and @jessewise.bsky.social for this new research project! Now the fun bit begins, learning from young people about their visions of future transport systems! #future #transport #youngpeople

Good news today 🤩 Our @entsresearchgroup.bsky.social 2025 research project has just been awarded an Engage Grant from @uniofbath.bsky.social Public Enagement team! Thanks very much for funding a project that will give young people a say in the future of transport blogs.bath.ac.uk/publicengage...

It's gift-giving season! Finding thoughtful gifts for the environmentally-minded behavioural science enthusiast can be a challenge - so here’s my top 🔟 #book recommendations, including something for every kind of reader... 📚 #behaviouralpublicpolicy #behaviouralScience #climateChange

"Not everyone needs to change their lifestyle to the same extent. Those with the largest carbon footprints – typically the wealthiest people – need to make the most significant changes." Brilliant piece here by @lwhitmarsh.bsky.social and @samhampton.bsky.social

This is a great shame, particularly given disruptive climate protests generate support for more moderate groups. shorturl.at/SJOoE

Love the intervention class descriptions. In other fields (I'm thinking about #travelDemandManagement) the definitions are not sufficiently nuanced and there is just too much overlap. Thanks 👍🏼

Interesting new brief alert 🚨

Sample sizes in most studies are at least in part based on resource constraints, and this should be acknowledged. The next step is to evaluate the informational value, given resource constraints. Will we learn enough? The answer sometimes should be 'no'. online.ucpress.edu/collabra/art...

Interesting new study on cyclists’ parking preferences by Kohlrautz & Kuhnimhof (shorturl.at/tMJj4). Implications for parking at work: - 100m increase in walking distance reduces facility utility by ~80% - cyclists will pay a small amount for covered parking, but this doubles if bike's worth >500€

In case you missed it, here is some excellent research published recently by some of our #EnTS members, Yu Shuang Gan, Sylvia Hayes + @lwhitmarsh.bsky.social 📝 How do people respond to different climate protest images? 🌏 Images with intergenerational justice framings may foster support 📈

Two great conferences for behavioural science next year: IAREP in Tartu, Estonia, June 17 for #EconomicPsychology, #BehaviouralScience, #BehaviouralPolicy, etc. iarep2025tartu.com IBPPC in London, UK, September 10 for #BehaviouralPublicPolicy, #Nudge, #Sludge, etc. www.ibppa.org/conference

Time to rethink our focus on moving to EVs in cities? It's tempting to see EVs as the 'easy' transition away from fossil fuels but has too little consideration been given to the humble bicycle? theconversation.com/cycling-is-t...

Hi Bluesky, I’m Jesse! My PhD focuses on how organisations can drive widespread modal shift 🚲 I've worked with @pledgeball.bsky.social & UoBath on projects for sustainable behaviour change 🌍 Big fan of #rstats, #behaviouralPublicPolicy, #computationalMethods & @entsresearchgroup.bsky.social

Deeply disappointed by the resignation of Louise Haigh as Transport Secretary. Her commitment to meaningful investment in active travel and her openness to behavioral approaches for sustainable mobility gave hope for real progress. A loss for those advocating for transformative transport policy.

Seminar alert 📣 Really looking forward to our #EnTS seminar today! Fernanda Reintgen Kamphuisen will be telling us all about the factors leading people to adopt EVs 🔌🚗 Join using the link below 👇 #behaviouralscience #environmentalpsychology #electricvehicles #climateaction

Starting in 5 min 🎉 Looking forward to learning more about #ABM and #BEVs - two of my favourite topics 😎

Tomorrow, we host Fernanda Reintgen Kamphuisen from @epgroningen at #EnTS! Fernanda will be presenting her work on the adoption of electric vehicles 📌University of Bath ⏰1300-1400, 26/11/24 📣Can dynamic norms explain how small scale changes lead to large scale change?

Hi Bluesky 👋 I've been having a trial period to see what Bluesky's like... and I like it! A lot! I think I'll stay 😀 I can't seem to find a #BehaviouralPublicPolicy starter pack yet. Have I missed it? And if not, would anyone else be interested in one?
