I'm looking to connect with someone in cybersecurity. Do you know anyone? Or maybe someone you know does? Please share. Thank you!

Last call!

Sometimes, unsolicited ideas come to me while I’m cooking. It’s often just enough to write a bit of micro poetry. Here is the beginning of what I’m calling “Micro Waves: A Series of Short Poems from the Kitchen.” More to come. #micro #micropoetry #poetry

I just read in Littsburgh that there's a Western PA #litmag open for subs: prose, poetry, plays, and art www.bridgeliteraryartscenter.org/journal.html I can't quite tell if it's a new pub? It may be? #poetry #openforsubmissions #writingcommunity

Poem for February 25th There be a light in my eyes, unseen before today's new washing machine.

Still time to sign up. And if you can't make it live, never fear--we're recording! So sign up to receive the video afterwards. Shares welcome!

First warm-ish day. It's not May 11th, but it's still true:

Poem for February 21st Leg Day I will not stand for cannot stand for anything

Now in Slow Orbit: @jessicawhippl17.bsky.social's poem "Broadleaf," originally published in @oneart.bsky.social in 2021. "I’ve written about having OCD. My brain, in its zeal for wanting clarity and certainty, also wants things to be absolute." syzygyworkshop.org/broadleaf

I loved hearing the sounds in this poem, and I loved being reminded of the time I found a morel (pictured here!)

This is one of the coolest things! I drove up to Myerstown, PA to see our storywalk. @painternik.bsky.social @esckeyes.bsky.social Thank you to Myerstown Library for sharing ENOUGH IS...!

If you have read ENOUGH IS... or I THINK I THINK A LOT, I would ❤️*love it*❤️ if you left a review somewhere out in the world. While you're at it, leave a review or rating for someone else's book. And have a happy Valentine's Day, book people! @joseebisaillon.bsky.social @painternik.bsky.social

My #marketing webinar for #authors is coming up on March 3 via Zoom. If you're looking for tips for sharing your books with bookstores, boutiques museum shops, etc., check the link in my bio for details. I'd love it if two helpful people could share this post if you feel moved to!

I just had an interview with the selection committee for the public art grant for which I'm a finalist. If my proposal is selected in this final round, my work (poems, micropoetry and photography) will be part of 2025's Art at Amtrak program. I'll find out on Tuesday! 😬🙏

Yesterday I said this (below). Today I read *this* and I feel a bit... re-calibrated: open.substack.com/pub/ekstasis... Thank you @pauljpastor.bsky.social and Ekstasis Magazine for stirring my soul. I'm ordering the print edition if it's not too late because I will return to this often.

Here's a helpful blog series that compares traditional publishing to self-publishing. ⬇️⬇️ Read each for the full take. (Thanks as always, @onewheeloneil.bsky.social) Non-trad: onewheeloneil.com/blog/publish... Trad: onewheeloneil.com/blog/publish... Self: www.onewheeloneil.com/blog/publish...

Thank you to E. Bradford Elem. for hosting me today. We talked about the people who make books and my favorite part was sharing our favorite colors (mine is green). We learned that book printers don't use ink in most of those colors!

New authors: Did you know your publisher doesn't place your books in bookstores? What can an author do? I have some ideas...

Anyone teach an Environmental Literature & Writing course in HS (or something similar)? I’m developing an elective and would love to see some syllabi!
