Fixed the email for the alderman

Hearing the cities:skylines YouTuber say “gentrify the neighborhoods with high rises”… 🥲

Putting major stores next to train stations is such an important way to secure ridership, especially outside commuting hours

Some day we’ll have the CTA use the RTA wayfinding standard…. Some day

I love reading absolute peak(!!!)

Glad we're headed in the right direction!

In dire need of something like this new WMATA navigation app but for the ‘L’ and especially NYC subway. Would make understanding transfers so much better.

ADUs are basically the extra family expansion for burgage plots in Manor Lords.

Clinton my beloved ❤️❤️

Llooking at where teardowns occur in Lincoln Park, it's interesting to see this pocket of RM5 zoning (which allows full scale apartments) seeing tear downs resulting in an increase in units. Using RT4 as a means to upzone isn't going to work if 2 flats continue to be torn down/renovated into SFH

Ice Ice baby

If I were mayor of Chicago, I’d make it so a convenience store must be located within a quarter mile of all major bus & L stations in the city.

The Yonnah Freemark quote really shows the changes in urban politics to be more suburban, and exclusion is the goal. Residents now care about their schools, property value, and crime, and as a result wish to have wealthy SFH enclaves where these goals can be realized.

DC needs to do right by the legacy plan, and tear down the freeways

I am ready for the rise of Shibuya Kei just like city pop did. The world must know of Cornelius & Pizzicato Five.

always be weary of Evil Barcelona, Badalona

Idea: use the flat cars as a high capacity way to move people about. Doors fall open and people can just walk on or off, nearly perfect dwell times. It’s just a big open space which is perfect for standees. Why aren’t more railroads investing in this future?

Snow+CTA are the vibes that I need in my life.

The gap between Metrorail & Metrobus is so much smaller than it used to be.

Since when did Amtrak start asking that checked bags be checked in an hour before departure? They haven’t actually enforced this before and I’ve taken a couple LD trains now where I’ve checked bags.

This is the kind of missing middle I support. The old concept was low density, focused to much on looking like a SFH, and felt west coast focused. To combat the extreme housing crisis, we need our cities to be filled with multistory walk ups, not duplexs. Make them look like Manhattan, not Portland.

The purple being perpetually shafted while the yellow is running perfectly is pretty damn funny.

We should really run the purple line express full time, would help unfuck Howard terminal. It’s already done, some I’m sure the marginal cost of expanding drivers isn’t that much of a barrier.
