NZ is deep in recession, and times like this Govts typically step up and pump some cash into the economy to fill the gaps in private sector spending. A great project would be to offer school lunch contracts to local businesses to keep ppl off the dole & get money into the local economy hang on.

A main story on the Herald today is ‘Hungry kids trailing peers by up to four years in maths, science’ It would seem that instead of new maths books printed by Nat donors, doing something about poverty and hunger would bring up educational achievement. 👀 I bet no one has thought of that before.

Nope-universities are not neutral. They're evidence-led. They stand for rigorous, evidenced claims, openness to scrutiny but consensus on facts. "Institutional neutrality" is a calling-card of rightwing orgs in the US, leading to policing classrooms & breaches of academic freedom. Don't fall for it

Response from Seymour of evidence that students are being pulled out of maths/English to do te reo: There are a few emails complaining about te reo being taught in schools but nothing that actually proves his claim. Going to email him claiming to be Ironman to see if he will go on QA and repeat it
