I wrote a book full of feminine rage and Black woman righteous fury after the 2016 election. The protagonist is a Black woman who kicks a fascists a** in a bar. Then she dares to not just enter a war college & grab a seat at the table, she breaks the whole patriarchal racist structure.

Oof. Yes. 😭 So much research for things that sometimes end up being a sentence or two. BUT! If you ask me about it, I’ll know way more than you ever wanted to hear. Unfortunately, this only works while I’m currently writing that book/series because after that, it’s rapidly dumped out of memory.

I LOOOOOOOOVED this book! When he’s mistaken for a dark wizard by the villain queen, Felix decides to stay as her librarian—despite knowing nothing about magic. Found family, cozy vibes, pet crows, a LIBRARY of MAGIC, so much care, and mistaken identity handled perfectly. Happy book birthday! 🎉

If you’re trying to download your Amazon books, there’s a script that will help. General caveat: running scripts without knowing what they do is a VERY BAD IDEA. That said, this worked for me. Change variable “low” to 0 (zero) and “high” to 25 to get it working. gist.github.com/akagr/f726d1...
