I never go out, But on Fri, I met 3 choir friends and had the best time seeing Hamilton. Absolutely next level! Who else has seen it?

Today was choir day! 3 hours of making music with my people. Restorative headspace 💓

We believe in the power of talking. Our online confidential Weekly Support Groups are designed to combat isolation, enabling you to feel a sense of community and provide hope for the future. On #TimeToTalk day, open up to someone- it may just change your life.💙

I was a doctor. Then I became a patient. A mental health patient. Join me as I discuss the stigma, shame and guilt of being unwell as a doctor And the hope that cones with recovery. #TimetoTalkDay

If, in and amongst the stress and pressure of the job, you want a reminder that we can reconnect with hope, Then this is the article! @annabav.bsky.social

This may be controversial, But Butterbeer is not very nice....

Today was my last day at RCPCH. The end of another chapter in my very 'alternative' medical career. There's more than one way to be a doctor, You just have to be willing to take a risk or two.

On my way up to Edinburgh for my last RCPCH Thrive Paediatrics event. 2 years of empowering, educating and supporting paediatricians to improve their wellbeing and working lives. Who'd have thought I'd be doing this, But here I am! The next chapter approaches...

I was a junior trainee. He was my senior. Inappropriate sexual comments, propositions, looks... I didn't know what to do and feared the consequences of telling someone... So I did nothing. We must prioritise creating sexually safe environments.

There' a huge emotional impact to care-giving, One we don't talk about. @doctorsindistress.bsky.social runs a weekly facilitated support group to share experiences and feel less alone. They need our support. Please donate. Anything helps. justgiving.com/campaign/eve... @amandipsidhu.bsky.social

Exactly 2 years ago, I found the courage to join a choir. I've made friends, Reconnected with a hobby I loved as a child, And embraced my love of musicals. Today we started an 11 minute Wicked medley. Amazing! 🎵

This is such a brilliant summary and has inspired me to write up some of what have done locally to try and enable team and colleague wellbeing through leadership & system changes. Would truly recommend @jessmorgan.bsky.social @dmannari.bsky.social @petrajana.bsky.social @mindfullmedic.bsky.social

(1/6) A THREAD: 🌟🌟🌟Kindness in Healthcare: A Poor Cousin No More? 🌟🌟🌟 Excited to share our latest publication in BMJ Leader: bmjleader.bmj.com/content/8/4/... This article (now open access as Editor's Choice!) delves into the underappreciated role of kindness in healthcare.

It’s always a good day when inspired to get the sharpies out! This excellent scoping review explores what we mean by Empathy Compassion & Kindness - really helpful clarification from @nickimacklin.bsky.social at al @kindnesshealthcare.bsky.social bmjleader.bmj.com/content/lead...

We need to create environments where it's OK to share the moral injury involved in care-giving. Be the leader who models this. In doing so,you give others permission to share how they feel. @doctorsindistress.bsky.social @amandipsidhu.bsky.social @annabav.bsky.social #WellbeingMedSky

I'm having issues posting photos on #BlueSky Anyone else experiencing this? I would share a 📸 of the 'cannot upload image' notification if I could!!

This year, make it your resolution to help us fund a full year of Weekly Support Groups. 💙 Your support ensures doctors, nurses, and midwives have a safe space to share and heal—because their mental health matters. justgiving.com/campaign/eve... #EveryMinuteOfEveryDay

Our holiday in Paris was fab, But I do love coming home to this. #Bluesky

This book is incredible. Postnatal psychosis is misunderstood and deeply stigmatised. This powerful and beautifully crafted book is a real masterpiece. One for your reading lists @annabav.bsky.social @itsemilykaty.bsky.social @bedsidereading.bsky.social

3yrs ago, I couldn't go to the supermarket without feeling overwhelmed & panicked by all the people. This is me today, At one of Paris' busiest tourist destinations. I've managed the eurostar, the metro, buses... I wasn't sure I'd ever do this stuff again, But here I am!

Good listening isnt just a skill you can pick up from a workshop or a list of '10 top tips'. It's an ongoing commitment to understanding our selves, e.g., being aware of what pushes our buttons in different situations, & having courage to be really present & embrace our own vulnerabilities.

Some of you might know me from X, Where, for 8 years I didn't dare show my face, Too afraid of the stigma associated with mental illness. But 2024 was a big one for me, One where I finally felt able to be myself. So, as we had into 2025, I wanted to say, There is hope. Things can be different.

Oh my gosh... I finally saw it... And it did not disappoint! @drkidneyash.bsky.social @medicrussell.bsky.social

Last few weeks to nominate colleagues for an education award, with thanks to our partners at NAMEN. mededleaders.co.uk/news-and-art...

It's easy to get caught up in life. Then I see this, and I'm reminded that small things don't matter as much as I think they do.
