There’s a game that I want to get back to and finish called Build Your Way. It’s so close to being done, I just have to finish up the UI and clear up any bugs. I started it back during my game design course and it’s gone through numerous style changes over the years. #gamedev #indiedev #pixelart

This piece came from an old #inktober doodle. Decided to turn it into a finished artwork using #krita. Art truly is an iterative process. I really like how the eggs turned out, there’s something ethereal about them. #traditionalart #digitalart #art

It’s always great fun when you’ve twinged your back and can’t find your heat pack.

I’ve been organising my files in my Dropbox and it’s kinda great that I’ve kept so many of my #art pieces over the years. The progression from #traditionalart to my first forays into #digitalart to finally land on #pixelart is pretty awesome. It’s good to keep it even if you think it’s bad.

There was a Leonardo Da Vinci #exhibit at the Lume in #MCEC. It was an immersive experience where they told the story of his life and his works. They had on display original pages from his codex. His mind was truly impressive! #photography

Not the best night sleep last night. I kept having dreams about the world ending/ sad things

Gave Pacific Drive a go. Visually interesting game but doesn’t run the best on the #steamdeck which I think contributed to me getting motion-sickness. Might have to try again when I get my MacBook dual booted with windows.

I saw the #Melbourne #NGV Yayoi Kasuma #art #exhibit recently. I was drawn in by the bold polka dot and was not disappointed. I really liked the infinity nets, and it was worth waiting in line to see the infinity rooms. She has such a playful and though provoking style. #photography

The #Melbourne #Museum does this once a month After Dark #event where there’s food, music and themed talks. It’s a nice way to explore the #exhibits without all the hustle bustle of the day crowd. I’ve been to a couple and the talks are fascinating! #photography

I’m debating getting an iMac mini for my home desk setup. I’m currently running stuff on an old MacBook Pro which is pretty beefy but honestly it’d be nice to free up my laptop to use elsewhere.

Checked out the Future & Other Fictions #exhibit at ACMI. A great showcase of possible futures shown through the various artworks, media, miniature dioramas and interactive displays. Felt a little uncomfortable taking #photos so I didn’t take many.

Since getting the #steamdeck, I’ve been playing way more of my steam backlog. I’m currently playing The Thuamaturge which I’m thoroughly enjoying and might actually finish it. The steamdeck was definitely worth getting!

This #pixelart #tilesheet was something I worked on for a collaborative project. I ended up having to drop out because I had too much on my plate. Was inspired by the old GBA #castlevania games. It’d be nice to revisit this again and make something out of it, I reckon. #gamedev #indiedev

A day of exploring Melbourne CBD’s alleys and laneways photographing the different #graffiti #art.

A #pixelart #tilesheet that I’ve been slowly working on for a Dice RPG #roguelike personal project. I’m still working out the mechanics but I think I’ve got the style nailed down. It’s currently on the back burner while I work on another personal project. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

I recently picked up Outer Wilds based on recommendations. Despite how incredible the game is, I can’t play it long enough to make any progress. I don’t think it’s supposed to be a horror game but it triggers a lot of my deep sea fears which makes my skin crawl. A shame :(

My New Year’s resolution for this year was to get out and experience more things. Which I think is going well. Now to work on going to the gym XD

Buy the books. Buy the movies. Buy the games. Physical media is more important now than ever.
