What a lovely afternoon of Saturn gaming. Finished up Rockman X4, did some Street Fighter Zero 2 arcade runs and got a few credits into Virtua Cop 2.

Summer be hittin’

The radical neon synthwave vibes of the Japanese N64 and periphs box artwork. πŸ’œβ™₯οΈπŸ’›πŸ’™ The N64 just became 200% cooler to me. πŸ”₯

Found the perfect outfit

The mid-90s internet futurism of this Sega New Releases catalogue from May-June 1995. There's such an of-the-time vibe to the design elements; reminds me of fictional Matrix ads in Shadowrun from the time too.

Happy birthday, Sonic! #sonic34th #sonicthehedgehog

It's ironic the only tape I've had trouble playing is one that was unused and sealed lol

yea honestly reading this for myself this really doesnt come off as "game devs should start using genAI for large-scale games", more "games are getting too big and unsustainable to make and to keep it up theyre gonna have to resort to shit like genAI". not advocacy but lament for the state of things

The disc art is so fucking good

I appreciate that Tomino opened his mouth and the Wow Cool Robot/War Is Bad meme literally fell out

Used game store haul.

Hello I'm the freak who prefers playing compromised home conversions over hd arcade ports and emulation.

You heard of brainrot, but what about brainfrot? πŸ€”

NOW PUT THAT THING BACK WHERE IT CAME FROM OR SO HELP ME

Variant covers are a scam, comics should tell self contained stories that don't require reading 20 other books.

KLONOA

Blessing your feed with 90s pink overalls flex.

"I gotta be moving at Mach velocities" never took off the way Gotta Go Fast did.

Me and @gubeyvs.bsky.social found a recreation of Namco Museum Vol. 4 in VRChat (there's a few others we'll have to check next time too) These were insanely well made: fully interactive with the proper sounds, animations, all of that. Everything except the games, obviously. But still!

emo girl 64

Finally a realistic depiction of a sapphic woman in anime.

Roll 'Mega Man Battle & Chase' PlayStation

who could forget this classic twist in the original mobile suit gundam

@freezinginferno.bsky.social psst. my warm-up sketch for today. thank you for taking the time to share some superlatively 90s Canadiana with me earlier :) (oof ow ouch price inflation oof)

#ε¦γƒžγ‚Ή This lineart has been sitting in procreate since April

Disappointing to hear that the Gex Trilogy is so lacking. No European/Japanese versions (with their alt voices), no N64 exclusive levels, no control rebinds, no Gameboy Color roms. Really seems like M2 and Hamster are the only folks who know how to make a good retro game rerelease.

Maddie Blaustein was an icon and it is a tragedy that she isn't here to see how many vocal talents she inspired to follow in her footsteps.

I've created a Discord server for the members of my little community. Even made a silly little video announcing it that I've been planning for awhile. :3 www.youtube.com/shorts/SzYjm... Literally couldn't've made this silly little video without help from members of this community. Thank you all. 🩷

Miku handshake forged in the fires of fan meetups, Hank would be impressed #fortnite

Dengeki PlayStation is one of my favourite magazines as they ALWAYS had some cool cover artwork going on. Here's a selection from its PS1 and PS2 era and a special cover from the 500th issue in 2011 featuring Tetsuya Nomura artwork. Dengeki ceased publication in 2020 after a staggering 686 issues.

Local con haul and an AWESOME Shadow shirt I got at hot topic

πŸ•ΉοΈ Bytes of Gaming History ⏳ Thanks to an early issue of The PlayStation Magazine, we get a (somewhat fuzzy close-up) glimpse inside the Disk Union store in Shinjuku, Tokyo during the spring of 1995. PlayStation fever is in the air, and Air Combat is ready and fired up for a demo flight!

No force on Earth could have prepared me for this line to be said by a Gabumon.
