My federally funded job’s task was to prevent injuries and violence across the state. Our budget worked out to about 1.15 per capita to stop overdose, car crashes, senior falls, suicide, sexual assault, and more through policy and systems change. We did a lot more than 5 things a week.

The ONLY reason I’ve darkened my specialists door since COVID is insurance-requiring appointments to see if I still need my medicines. Yes, always. Crohn’s is incurable unless there is some excellent news I don’t know about. Nobody masks at the doctor so it’s also enraging and overall unpleasant.
