#WoTSpoilers I don't think it's just Siuan's words aimed at her. She flinches as Siuan tells her she defies her. It reminds me of Min when she sees visions around people. She can't look away but her body language is stuck just staring at Siuan. I hope we get another season to find out. The acting!!!
comment in response to post
#WoTSooilers We know she told Min that she has visions as well. What is she seeing during these moments? I think she is seeing something as she looks at Siuan. She starts breathing heavier. Her eyes are stuck on Siuan, barely able to blink. She looks more and more terrified.

Doing mutes or hiding replies with them right now rather than the hard block. Depends on the level of the negative. I just don't understand people who will see a post from someone excited or just reacting positively to something and have to follow up with something about how they didn't like it.

I see you Wetlander. My water is yours. It is too bad that they hear only the wind.

Thank you for the unsolicited opinion :) I'd say you're missing out, but you seem negative anyways.

#WoTSpoilers Elaida's split the tower herself. With her own selfish actions. We watch both the Tower and the Aiel be broken. Split apart. The Dragon Reborn. "and he shall break the world again by his coming, tearing apart all ties that bind."

#WoTSpoilers Siuan's final words had the presence, the heaviness of foretelling to me. Elaida's face sitting on that evilly, undeserved throne. She knows. She knows what she's hearing. That is not the face of someone who thinks she won at the end. Deposing, stilling and then executing w/out so many.

#WoTSpoilers Melindhra showing what happens when the dark oaths are broken. Lan and Moiraine vs Lanfear. Siuan. Oh Siuan and Moiraine. Moiraine feeling the Oath Rod bond oaths breaking and know what that means. Siuan. Brave Siuan in the Hall. Siuan started the break in ep 1 but Elaida completed it.

#WoTSpoilers Sammael - almost an Asmodean but for Moghedien (GRUESOME, WHO). WHO IS THE LAST FORSAKEN THAT WE HAVEN'T SEEN STILL????? Liandrin and Moghedien. Rand, Couladin, Alcair Dal. Mat, the Eelfinn and the fox head medallion. That intro with Elaida and the Aelfinn - to link to Mat's story!

No real case made for Quebec to not vote Liberal no matter how much the other three tried to argue for more votes.

Better than expected on the French (but it was a low bar as he’s not fluent in it as his second language as yet). Everyone attacked him but Singh and Blanchet attacked Pollievre just as much allowing Carney to coast through. Nothing bad that would hurt the Liberals but not anything new to add.

Yep, very nice. I watched/listened to some of the French language debate tonight online w CBC. Wasn’t too much of a surprise at it.

After Skeleton Crew I got Pirates of the Caribbean as as rec. Pretty spot on actually.

Me too. Russians buying it and then enforcing Russian law on it sucked. Tried Dreamwidth but wasn’t the same and feel like I just bounced around social media since. Tumblr came close but also has some downsides.

Sol was just never able to accept his dark side. His actions. He wanted a padawan, it was selfish, but he doesn't accept that. He rationalizes everything about it. He never faces his own failings. As such, he fails as a Master. How can you teach someone else something you yourself can't understand?
comment in response to post
I don't know if anyone is meant to be a dark sider, even in Star Wars and the whole Chosen one thing that happens. After all, Anakin/Vader gave the universe balance. Sure, he killed a lot of light user doing it but also the last two Sith. He gave the universe Luke and Leia. Everyone is a duality.

Years of repression and then everything at once. It's the perfect catalyst for a fall. Mae didn't have a fall. Mae learned skills and was already dark immersed, but she also adapted based on what she had learned already from their Mothers. We see it in their early training. Jedi make good Sith.
comment in response to post
I think Mae could've been what he was looking for, but she didn't have that same training with the Force that he needed. Also, the same shock/impulse from Osha's lived experience. She'd lived for years with the knowledge. Mae simmered and had a set mission she was on. Osha exploded.
comment in response to post
Definitely, Osha used her anger. That's exactly what happened. Her anger, her control over the Force, all came out to one specific use of it. Intent. But I argue against her being the dark side twin. This instance, she swung dark. But she can also be light. People are both. Osha/Mae's soul is both.

I'm also iffy on the whole killed two Jedi. Torbin was basically assisted suicide. He accepted her need for vengeance and he himself could never absolve himself of the actions on Brendok. She did defeat Indara, but I also think Indara was never going to fight to kill and that would be her weakness.
comment in response to post
I'm not sure one can flourish as pure light side without the other being dark. A true harmony would be an acceptance for both - acceptance from each of them of being dark and light. But we know Jedi teachings and Sith teachings, both philosophies aspire to be the pinnacles of light and dark.
comment in response to post
I also wonder whether Mae will have an advantage. Her and Osha are one - maybe she might have more control just because Osha learned so much as was trained. I also feel the twins are more powerful when together too. Imagine if they both balanced - one soul in harmony.

And again, I think Qimir's right here too. It wasn't her that failed. It was Sol. He failed her as a mentor, as as Master. He couldn't handle her emotions because he was the cause and he wasn't even handling HIS emotions. She tried so darn hard. We see it when we first meet her. She still tries.
comment in response to post
It's not necessarily light or dark except for the actions taken with what's fuelling it. Mae's vengeance driven emotions are what she's using the enhance herself. To make her the perfect assassin of those she wants to kill. Fear to obscure herself, push away. Osha used her anger too with Sol.
comment in response to post
Yes, when I say Osha's Jedi training made it easier for her; it's because she knows how to manipulate her environment using the Force. Mae's use is mostly internal - enhancing herself and her actions. We saw her using it externally, but it was to push away, or obscure by pushing dirt into the air.

Also, the Thread = the Force. It's about intent, belief and usage. Different cultures, different philosophies, same power. From a cultural viewpoint, it's so neat to see another manifestation of how people view something so universal and yet individual in use.

"You're with me I'm with you. Always one but born as two. As above sits the stars. And below lies the sea. I give you you. And you give me me." It says it all about the two of them. They are balance and when one is out of balance, the other is as well, in equal and opposite reaction.
comment in response to post
It's subtly done in the show, but it's all there. Those that didn't follow that part of the story, the link between the twins, are the ones that don't understand Mae's motivations, why she shifted between wanting to kill or wanting to turn herself in. Under Osha's mask, it was her conflict as well.
