The most consistently annoying thing to me is the reporting of the energy price cap. Most articles never mention the actual unit rates at all and if they do it's always way down. The headline "average bill" number is meaningless at best and quite possibly misleading unless people know what it means.

Today is one of those days where I very much notice that I have a heat pump. J: Kids, you're going to need coats K: What, is it cold? J: Yes, it's -2C out there They don't realise it's cold out, because inside the house there's no hint about the frost. Nice even heat all around the house.
