So the US wants to impose a deal where Ukraine surrenders and Russia gets everything it wants. Absurd. Why does the US not pressure Russia and require that the aggressor withdraw and pay for its damage? Why are there no security guarantees? Ukraine has fought too hard to just then commit suicide.

Here’s the thing. If Trump came out and said tomorrow that tariffs are bad after all, Lutnick, Navarro, Bessent, and all of MAGA would be out there saying tariffs are bad after all. There is no intellectual honesty. It’s all about defending, supporting, and justifying whatever comes out of Trump.
