New big elm-review release! This time the major highlight is multi-file fixes, which makes some rules’s automatic fixes way more powerful and therefore useful. jfmengels.net/multi-file-f...

Big elm-review release is out! But my Gatsby/Netlify blog is suddenly not deploying anymore, so I'll wait to make announcements on social media for a bit, to see if I can fix it quickly.

The effort to improving elm-review's communication is always ongoing. Here I'm trying to provide more detail when a fix failed to apply, so that the author has sufficient information to fix the issue (probably on-demand).

Is there a way you can follow the replies on a thread on BlueSky? 🤔

I'm curious who uses @eslint.org with "noInlineConfig": true, and how you do it? It feels like too hard to disable all the comments in practice.

I just discovered this charting lib that is pure css and semantic html. Write a <table>, slap on some classes... holy shit you have charts 🤯 One of the most inspiring cases of "use the platform" I've seen in a long time: chartscss.org

I often enjoy just reading through the simplifications handled by elm-review-simplify. It's very relaxing, like a stroll in a park, knowing that we don't need to care about all those anymore. package.elm-lang.org/packages/jfm...

Since Gleam v1 my role has shifted from coding to leadership, and Jak has been the one keeping Gleam improving at such a rapid rate- entirely without pay. He now has GitHub Sponsors! If you want Gleam to continue growing and improving please do sponsor his incredible work! 💜

How to mess with an Elm developer colleague: put a button with the label "undefined" in the app and let them know. They're going to be so confused that they'll very quickly try to debug the issue.

Finally created that issue for @eslint.org about rules that are really enforced: github.com/eslint/eslin...

Added `elm-review-simplify` to a project and it successfully simplified 35 occurrences 🎉 Elm-review is one of the (many) reasons I love programming in Elm. package.elm-lang.org/packages/jfm...

Once again bitten by the "It's not necessary to create a type for this, I can leave it as String!"

Here's apparently how white I am: today is the 2nd of January, it was rainy, very cloudy and near freezing temperatures, and I *still* got sunburned just by being outside. What the heck?
