On December 20th 2020, Lava touched water, flash evaporated it and fulled the crater up againa, a height of about 44 floors when compared to Empire State building. (Lava level has continued to rise since then, this is a USGS graphic from december 2020).

@EdwinG @chris Not sure the 5 clicks is the same as power on.
At power on, there is no valid key to decrypt the user partition disk until you enter our password and the decryption key is derived from multiple numbers (eg serial number , special numer in secure enclave etc).
I think 5 clicks […]

@gwync Another example duing Iraq war:
US News: Iraqi government does not allow us to go unescorted"

On feb 5 2002, Colin Powel presented "irrefutable" evidence of WMDs at United Nations.
On Radio France Intl (TV5 in Canada) news, they had a intelligence officer from France who went though Powell's evidence and tore it to shreds. None of the images had valid time stamp and satelite […]

@gwync DW news produces some english content from Germany.
Al Jazeera is good because it brings a different point of view not seen on US media. There have some access to Middle east others chose not to have.

Attendum:
23:23 Fire starts
01:44 NOTAMS sent out to all pilots that Heathrow was
CLOSED DUE TO A MAJOR INCIDENT IN THE LOCAL VICINITY AFFECTUING POWER SUPPLY.
(not clear if long hauls would have turned back, since no guidance at that time that airport would be shut for long time).

@chris This is where passwords are important vs facial recognition. Passwords are what you know, and this is protected by IUS 5th amendment. Face or fingerprint is what you are, not protected. So turn off phone before border and they need your password to get to data.
Another more convoluted […]

Beesly's Point bridge
2009 Passable.
2010 Permanently open for ships
2015 Partially demolished, lift bridge section still standing in open
2017 All gone, no trace left of bridge. (with boat wakes in image).

@EdwinG In a way we should not donate and istead insist the Canadian Government fight the Trump regime to allow us access to our library.

Over the years of rising it, I mave met number cyclists and we all knew Savoy/Passadena road though the pine desert.
An AI system would have given me an "authoritative" answer without knowledge that Beesly's Point bridge was about to be permanently impassible. This is why you can't trust AI […]

So, I started to try to find out who owns the bridge. State? County? city? After many phone calls, I ended up at the town hall for Beeley,s Point, the community south of bridge, who, by miracle passed me through the the one guy who knew.
"better hurry up using the […]

@jerome Going to Union is less of a challenge because Metrolinx want to electrify and put ETCS signalling on the Oshawa-Union link. However, it depends on how thery intend to connect the old CP rail link from Peterborough throug the CP Rail main yards to the Metrolinx tracks. They don,t discuss […]

Note the sidewalk which is not blocked so I assume Canadians wered allowed to cross into the USA for the urposes of entering the libtrary via the USA-facing door. And now the Trump regime wants this sidewalk blocked.

There is no obvious entrance on the Qubec side. But there is a metal door at based o that "tower" to which the hydro is attached and stairs that go uip and then a bridge to main building […]

@EdwinG The fancy consultant telling then how to put "15% off" stickets on procucts didn't advise them on how to do this since in a real liquidation , everything much go. What the Bay is doing is merely closing some stores under the guise of CCAA.

@EdwinG Just finished reading the cour motion. It is extremely vague. These guys don't know what they are doing.
In the full liquidation as origianly proposed, all stock in distribution centres would be sent to stores to be sold.
But now that 6 stores are to survive, no mention was made of […]

@heliomass So it debited 2 tickets to go to Ile des Soeurs and Back as opposed to one ticket going there, and accepting 1st ticket as transfer coming back?
comment in response to
post
@heliomass The restrictions I listed are for tickets. A pass (month, week, 3 day 1 day) has unlimited number of passages and doesn't have the concept of a transfer or 2 hour limit for use of a ticket.
I asked since I though you have mentioned the lower monthly pass was cheaper than they number […]

@heliomass Yes, Opus card records what last transit mode your used, and if you used the subway any time in the active ticket. So you can't board bus going opposite direction from bus you just got off from. (no return trip allowed on STM, but Exo allows it, and no double use of metro on STM even […]

@heliomass If one is on tickets and not pass. If you use a A ticket to go from downtown to Île des Soeurs, "check out" to use fare vending machine, when you check back in to go back downtown, will it accept your active ticket as a transfer, or will it debit a new ticket? (in later case you […]

Also, magically, The Bay is now able to pay up to $7m in rent for the Join venture premises (buildings held by Hundon's Bay and RioCan).
A few days ago, Hudson's Bay insisted it couldn't pay ongoing rent to these facilities (it partly owns) and insisted on a stay in monthly payments.
CCAA […]

The Monitor states that since declaring CCAA, a number of creditors have come forward with proposals (showing HBC didn't do such negotiations prior to going into CCAA).
