This changed in our lifetime! "Lost in Translation" (22 years ago) relies on our awareness that celebrities would sometimes "sell out" and go record cheesy ads in Japan. Make that movie again today and Bob Harris would be doing a Raytheon Super Bowl ad with Mr. Beast.
