There is literally no point in trying to negotiate with these people. They want control of UK politics and economy. And sadly there are enough quislings in the UK establishment who would happily help. Not sure where Starmer goes from here. Airstrip One it is.

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

Project 2025 will transform the United States of America into the former East Germany.

Oh, come on. The Conservative Party helped destroyed those places by austerity and Brexit, which together hollowed out local government, abolished RDAs and lost the country Structural Funds. But, sure, let’s pretend it’s all about immigration

The shameless bullshit of the bloviator right in Britain. Fraser Nelson trying to take the high ground against ethno-nationalist Conservatism. From someone who published as editor of the Spectator the repugnant racism of Douglas Murray & Rod Liddle (to name but two!). HT @jdportes.bsky.social

Matthew seems to think Farage will be PM. Has LBC been tipped off when this coup is going to happen? @lbc.co.uk

This Sky News correspondent gloriously owned Nigel Farage over his undying adoration for Donald Trump and it’s a supremely satisfying watch www.thepoke.com/2025/02/21/t...

No they're not. Don't be a fucking idiot | Ian Rennie

“Trump is wrong; the world must say so. He’s taking US down a disastrous path…favouring Putin’s gangster state over democracies of free Europe. He’s standing alongside murder & tyranny against democracy & liberty. His is a historic inversion of America’s destiny” www.independent.co.uk/voices/edito...

Perhaps you can do Blue Labour guru Glasman cosying up to Steve Bannon and the Labour Party cosying up with Blue Labour, next week, James? @lbc.co.uk

Anyways, so this is whose podcast Maurice Glasman is happy to appear on. And yet people think he should have some voice in Labour politics?

Murdoch’s New York Post today. #ukraine🇺🇦

I live in a classic Blue Labour constituency and can confidently say it's never really about immigration. It's scarcity of resources, people struggling, and a zero sum mentality. This rhetoric and mythmaking about immigrants getting favourable treatment is the foundation of it.

Putin, Musk, and Trump are working to create a world of brutal dictatorships, aggressive empires, and oligarchs who treat the rest of humanity like their personal possessions.

The fatal shooting of a US border patrol agent in Vermont. The stabbing death of a landlord in California. An elderly couple murdered in Pennsylvania. Who are the so-called Zizians, the group allegedly linked to all these killings? buff.ly/3ENqfa5

Given that everyone is rightly looking in amazement as Musk rips the wiring out of the US federal government, it’s worth remembering what Eric Pickles did to local government under the Coalition. Rather ahead of his time was Eric. www.theguardian.com/theguardian/...

Nathan Gill, 51, ex UKIP, ex Brexit Party, and the former leader of Reform UK in Wales, has been charged with nine bribery offences after an investigation led by the Metropolitan police’s counter-terrorism command. It gets better apple.news/AZFUaz-S1REu...

Trump is on the brink of betraying Ukraine and the UK. Britain must lead in Europe by increasing defence spending immediately and all political parties should get round the table to make that happen. I fear what happens if we don't take this step.

Liz Truss at CPAC. Never has the phrase "tickets still available" been more applicable.

So many people still don't get this.

Almost too good this.

In case anyone is still uncertain whether Trump and Musk are allied to Putin — @bylinetimes.bsky.social has been covering the Trump alliance for six years, and we cottoned onto Musk quite quickly
