Yesterday, the @rrchnm.bsky.social team was fortunate to tour Historic Blenheim in Fairfax, VA to see graffiti left by Union soldiers during the Civil War. RRCHNM is working with Blenheim & similar sites to digitize the graffiti & make it widely available for teaching & research.

War is disruptive and violent in a million ways. During the siege of Boston in 1775-76, w Loyalists moving into the city and patriots leaving, moving across militarized lines was challenging.
