No body is having a sensible conversation around migration and immigration. To grow an economy you need a bigger work force. We need migration. Why make it harder for our nearest neighbours to not be able to work here? It’s utter madness.

They don’t they just don’t want to admit they were wrong. Economy down. Trade down. Travel down. Migration up. Prices up. Inflation up.

It’s a no brainer. Hostile Russia and a mental America it makes a lot of sense to rejoin the single market and possibly look at freedom of movement. If we have to adopt the euro so be it. The UK £ joining the Euro would benefit both parties.

Boycotting them isn’t enough. The majority of main stream media are loss making businesses. Take GB News as an example. They aren’t used to make money from publishing they are used to influence politicians and the public.

Constantly trying for growth on a planet with finite resources isn’t going to work. Why not look for efficiency and sustainability?

Meanwhile, the Dartmoor Visitor Centre in Princetown is being forced to close because of a lack of funding, funding that the duchy could provide - without even missing it. Read what the excellent @guyshrubsole.bsky.social has to say on such matters:

I’m from the UK, but my point still stands. Anyone over 60 had it right off compared to people under 20. From free education to final salary pensions boomers have had it good.

At least there aren’t any wars now and there’s no civil rights to fight for or anything worth demonstrating against.

The percentage of police investigations into sexual assault by MPs is alarming. Westminster would be deemed a very unsafe for a woman to socialise or work.

She is a walking talking example of what she is talking about. Promoted massively above her ability. The only reason she ever became PM was the Tory party members couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a brown person.

Unfortunately perpetrators tend to be men. The prosecution and conviction rate for sexual assault is a disgrace.

Feel free to provide your source. They don’t say they would match the Tories triple lock. “Labour this morning said it would not match the pledge” labourlist.org/2024/05/labo...
