Fabulous - just an incredible feat - Ops Manna & Exodus.

Thread🧵 1 Finished #SASRogueHeroes after a bit of a shaky start, I loved it!

Bliss.

1st of 2025, chilly, but well needed 20 mile bike ride.

Looking forward to Rogue Heroes evening this Saturday.

Good to see the numbers in wikipedia show a big interest (pageviews in a month) in SAS characters and operations following #SASRogueHeroes a few examples: Paddy Mayne - 600,000 + pageviews David Stirling - 487,000 SAS - 320,000 Bill Stirling - 174,000

Wow fact! By January 1945, some 90,000 French, Belgian & Dutch civilians were employed by British 21st Army Group mostly around Brussels, of whom half were employed in workshops. Another 14,000 were used at the port of Antwerp. #wehaveways

#thenandnow Bank Station during the Blitz, 11 January 1941.

Cheeky visit to the Mudchute Ack Ack battery, now a farm & park. The four gun emplacements protected the nearby docklands in WWII. 3 of the 4 concrete gun sites are enclosures for livestock. 1 has a 3.7 inch gun.

In a teaser for Series 1 of The Forgotten War Podcast, Jack and Rob sat down to discuss the impact of the Kohima Epitaph - is this the Burma Campaign’s greatest contribution to remembrance in Britain? What else has the campaign given to remembrance? Watch now youtu.be/1K5A6R1OAI0

Fabulous talk on 'British Army on Film' at Battle of Britain Bunker.👏 @fightingonfilm.bsky.social @hicksy.bsky.social

A perfect evening for Game pie

Just recognised this chap from the Asda Xmas ad. None other than the Pirates of the Caribbean comedy redcoat, later turned pirate.
