you gotta pump those numbers up. those are rookie numbers

crazy to think about how many tools/patterns/architectures in the node.js ecosystem exist solely because of the single-threaded nature of the engine. that constraint has a loooooong tail of implications

IT'S A TRAP

pro tip: only unload the dishwasher *after* you've started it. if you forgot to start it, those dishes will just be dirty

"I should be notified when the deploy fails!!" oh look, there's the notification email, that I immediately trashed

"With special guest, Jake Weary!" www.jqueryreunion.com

has anyone made an Octopus Deploy-style dashboard for GH actions? so annoying to try and understand what's deployed where, what deployments are happening now etc etc like, it's not even remotely as good as Azure DevOps release pipelines

I still dont quite understand the math of a company that posted $25.8B in last quarter's profit then cuts 3% of their workforce maybe thats why I was never cut out for management

You’re asking the wrong people, software devs don’t decide this stuff. Go complain to the MBAs

how to monitor your network with this one neat trick

GH workflow approvals are so janky if you're not in GH all the time. "just do these 18 navigations and clicks and there it is!" compared to how sooooo much nicer it is in like Octopus Deploy

oh wow at least they're being honest now

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the cinema

kubernetes is a complexity tax. almost anything is possible, but every task no matter how small or large carries a tax of time and effort because you're in k8s-land

you'd think it'd be easy to detect a bad deployment in k8s but oh my god what a mess of phases and statuses and soooo much bash

having Tons Of Fun debugging a bash script echo "here" echo "also here" echo "here's this dumb variable $killme"
