Sean Dyche. A bit harsh.

47 years ago, aged 14, I walked in here and asked for 'a pint of beer'. The start of a lifelong appreciation of pubs. Rather weird to be back today. Many years since last visit.

Xmas day afternoon feeling.

I remember watching Tomorrow's World as a kid in the 70's, but I don't remember a prediction of the complete collapse of all essential UK infrastructure. I mean, a flying car would be cool but I'll settle for a train.

Some positive economic news in these difficult times. The cat grew 2.8% in the last quarter, against a target of 1.6%. Forecast growth for critical Christmas period upgraded to an impressive 4.5%.
