My indoor cats hate it when I pick them up and carry them in front of the outside cats— it’s like they lose all their street cred.

The college theater department my wife oversees as Dean is absolutely fantastic. I’m so excited to see them take this musical on tonight.

51 today, and after a lesson in traditional Japanese knife sharpening, we hit up a great old Hawaiian restaurant and then this amazing Japanese wagyu restaurant.

About to walk into a meeting for a job I hope I don’t get.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be serving as Series Director on this show featuring my friend William Christopher Ford (Cobra Kai, Karate Kid 3). Looking forward to exploring the kinds of creativity, passion and drive required for people to achieve great things, on THE BEGINNER’S MIND JOURNEY.

I met her once in her latter years and I can tell you she still had this vibe.

ME (50-SOMETHING DIRECTOR): so this is a scene where you're walking. ACTOR (ALSO 50-SOMETHING): well am I hopeful, or sad, or what? ME: you're doing the Lonely Man from The Incredible Hulk. ACTOR: say no more.

My advice to folks trying to work their way into Film: be an asset, not an asshat. We have enough of those in the industry already.

Who are the five writers that made you? Raymond Chandler David Morrell William S Burroughs Edgar Rice Burroughs Dante

Crows and telephone pole:

Today we went to the cliffs of Palos Verses and shot an intro for my friend William Christopher Ford (Dennis in Cobra Kai)’s new series THE BEGINNER’S MIND JOURNEY. I’ll be serving as series director on this show. More info coming soon.

If you ask me for a quote for film work and I give it to you and it’s higher than you expected, don’t get mad at me and send me a pissy reply email, haha. Just hire someone younger and cheaper—there’s plenty of folks out there. I’ve earned my rate over 20+ years of doing this.

My badass b-camera operator Michelle and I. I seem to recall it was like 101 degrees this day of filming.

Drop yourself in something green (Ireland):

Getting to work with Bob Saget early in my career was a gift—he was incredibly nice and funny. The fact that I got to share this scene with him was amazing— going though on-set firearms safety training together was… an experience: youtu.be/Krh2Q84WA0Y?...

Like many of the XY persuasion, I enjoy spending time on the weekend tinkering in my workshop: it looks like I’ll be shooting a follow-up series to my friend William Christopher Ford’s 52 MASTERS later this year, and so I’m working on inventive ways to shoot the show using smaller camera rigs.

My AP app updates are like “American Democracy in Peril” and also “NBA March Madness Begins!”

Lotta folks didn’t pay attention to what Mr. Rogers was trying to teach us, and it’s showing.

New episode is up on the Rondo-nominated Borgo Pass Horror Podcast: we discuss 1941’s THE DEVIL COMMANDS! Available wherever you get your podcasts.

Whedon is a toxic trash fire, but this remains a wonderful iteration of the Shakespeare comedy, peopled with my favorite actors from his shows.

I took both of these in 2014: Pic 1 is from French Quarter, New Orleans. Pic 2 is Cornillon, France

If you pitch your script to me and the email starts with “Dear Tim,” it’s DEFINITELY going in the trash.
