So tired of this idea that billionaires are our "betters" whose opinion is super important because they have a lot of money. It's bullshit. They're mostly greedy sociopaths who have no problem destroying people who get in their way. That doesn't make your opinion one to be valued, in my opinion.

I mustn’t get too stressed trying to impress people, the person I need to impress the most is me. #allontheboard

x X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m. Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app? If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

I can hardly think of a better example of the moral decay in modern health care than a Goldman analyst noting that biotech cures for diseases like hepatitis are cool and all, until their success diminishes the business opportunity for pharmaceutical manufacturers. www.cnbc.com/2018/04/11/g...

If it takes 10 years to rejoin the EU, then if we start today, we'll be back in 10 years. But if we wait a decade, it will take 20 years. Except that it won't, because we will have had 10 more years of diverging. So it might take a quarter of a century. Start today please. We owe it to the future.

“Taking Britain out of the Erasmus+ programme was a huge mistake. Labour must rejoin and accept the EU’s offer of a youth mobility scheme” 👏👏👏

Nearly one billion pounds of your money on a completely ineffectual policy of performative cruelty Never forget

On the one hand an MP found to have told the truth about a minor conviction, on the other an MP found to have lied about being locked up for kicking seven bells out of a young woman...

What if, and hear me out here, Twitter under Musk was a version of the Stanford prison experiment. Certainly felt like it.

James Bond movies never show the part where the supervillain collects government subsidies to build his death tech.

“70% the illegal weapons seized from criminals in Mexico come from your country. We do not produce these weapons, nor do we consume synthetic drugs. Tragically, it is in our country that lives are lost to the violence resulting from meeting the drug demand in yours.” - President Sheinbaum to Trump.

Rishi Sunak and his wife avoiding public scrutiny by changing their company to 'unlimited'... just as David Cameron did ... Seems to be a pattern with Tory Prime Ministers eh? I wonder why..... hmmmmmmmm

Express poll needs more input. Link takes you directly to the poll, bypassing the Express website, so you won't boost their ad impressions. (Note: ignore the bit where they ask for your email address. It's optional.) xd.wayin.com/display/cont...

British Non Dom’s and foreign billionaires owning our press was bad enough. Now an American one is dictating what questions the Prime Minister is asked on This Morning. Insane and hideously depressing state of affairs

Just putting it out there that I mean it when I say unwanted DM weirdos will get blocked… immediately!

Rocky won’t be moving and I’m quite happy with that ❤️ #blackcatsofbluesky #coldoutside #lazysundays

#SaidNoOneEver I really miss those Temu adverts. 🙄

This is Jeremy Clarkson's farm shop, right? 🚜

Peter Mandelson’s lobbying firm Global Counsel is under investigation by the lobbying regulator What is it about certain politicians and their seeming inability to actually do things for the greater good? Please read @petergeoghegan.bsky.social thread below 👇 It’s important 💪🏼

Almost at 9K, and then very nearly 10,000 signatures in Day 1 of this petition! It's about time driven grouse shooting was binned off, don't you think? Please add your name and spread the word: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

I briefly took up X’s monetisation offer some months back. My impressions exceeded 100 million a month I got a pay out of $19 and cancelled it That ‘Sick Of It’ account who got jailed off for inciting the riots was taking home $1700 a month Hate pays. It’s now a thriving industry. We are here

My other hot take is, instead of spending 10 billion to terraform Mars they could undo the damage from deforestation and clean the oceans here on Earth

🚨 Breaking news 🚨 The government has ordered a review into the use of physician and anaesthesia associates within the NHS, after claims that staff in those roles are being used in place of doctors and that in some circumstances, patients have died or been harmed.

Why did the UK Government agree to sell the ghost station to an oligarch already suspected of money laundering for the Russian underworld? Why did senior Conservative Party figures accept large donations from such a man? Why hasn’t there been a full official inquiry? bylinetimes.com/2020/02/25/u...

So this is the BBC blaming Nurses for the economy. Nurses who have lost 20-30% of their pay in ten years. Nothing to do with greedy CEOs and record private profits? Nothing to do with government incompetence? No. Blame the nurses. Seriously BBC?!?! How dare you!

"Water firms stopped from using customer money for bonuses" About bloomin time too 👍🏼💙 www.bbc.com/news/article...

My handsome Schnazzy T ❤️ #schnauzersofbkursky

Just found out an Oyster card costs £7!! When did this happen?

Peeps... Bluesky are a team of 20. Cut them some slack and be patient.

I heard that Andrew Tate tried to come stretch his awkward wings here and got banned in just one day. Sorry, hate has no home here. Stay in the bad place, thanks.

The Onion. 👏😂

Important context here: ● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares) ● "a big farm" is 217 acres. Now let's see who's angry: ● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres ● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres ● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres ● Dyson owns 36,000 acres

🔴The Powerful Interests Fighting Jeremy Clarkson’s Countryside Culture War to Avoid Inheritance Tax Lobby groups are whipping up fears about Labour’s inheritance tax reforms despite figures suggesting the vast majority of UK farms will be unaffected bylinetimes.com/2024/11/01/t...

for some reason I’ve remembered what Jeremy Clarkson, who said he bought land to avoid inheritance tax, said on live TV about striking public sector workers (extra marks for use of ‘us’)

Both in the news today for differing reasons. Michael Sheen who remortgaged his house to fund the Homeless World Cup, Jeremy Clarkson who bought a farm to evade tax.

Andrew Tate got banned from Bluesky in less than one day. Another reason things are so much better here than Twitter.

For those concerned that oligarchs may buy up BlueSky, it would make no difference. It's Open Source software. So, anyone can take the code and just build a new one. As it's decentralized, there's no central server to take over. It only has the value of the people using it. It's free!

And THAT is exactly how people with a huge sense of entitlement regularly behave when they get caught out. #JeremyClarkson

Please spare a thought for James Dyson, the Brexit-voting billionaire who bought up 33,000 acres of farmland to avoid tax then moved his business to Singapore. He's the real victim here.

I will never understand how a billionaire, the richest man on Earth, spent millions to buy an election for ANOTHER billionaire, and told us that his policies would cause all of us non-billionaires “temporary hardship...” ...and the public didn't tell BOTH OF THEM to fuck off.
