Not sure what I expected with unreal, but finding out there is a 'LaunchCharacter' node that specifically only launches player characters is hilarious to me. Have only used godot for years, didn't realize how 'opinionated' UE is. Different, but I'll get the hang of it.

I am really loving Avowed so far! I did pretty much everything in the first zone, exploring the Emerald Stair now. Combat is great, using sword/spell and pistol/shield loadouts now, very flexible systems it seems like. And I'm really enjoying the story/world, both main and side quests are hitting.

Reviews for Avowed seem to be pretty good, well done to the team at Obsidian! I've been really anticipating this one, but with the layoff now I need to resist the urge to buy the deluxe edition for early access 😅 Bummer, but looks like it's coming to gamepass so I'll get a chance to play then.
