Perhaps the greatest freedom one can afford oneself is the freedom to have a completely meaningless existence. Art doesn’t have to any meaning, it could be simply “i like it”. Perhaps we tried too hard to make meaning out of things that we miss out on the genuine attention to simply appreciate.

One of the worst things about solo traveling (or traveling while asian?) is people try to stuff you in bad rooms in hotels. Perhaps for reasons like thinking you don’t need much room (aka couple privilege) or thinking you won’t complain (racism?) They tried to convince me that these are the same😐

I’ve found that how businesses respond to your artistic requests is very telling of cultural values. I’ve ask a few places in the US and they tell me I’d be in people’s way so no but 🇮🇹 seems to be almost always the opposite like omg yasss we love you here are all the spots!
