Promoting green growth does not make you an ‘eco-nutter’. It’s the only way forward

If you have a business in the middle of a town (aka not an offgrid house in the countryside) how easy/expensive/possible is it to make it run off renewable energy so you don't have to be a pawn to the horrific business energy providers? #RenewableEnergy #SmallBusiness

Yes! Finally a viable caring alternative to buying e-books on Amazon!

Off to @creativemornings.bsky.social Derby to continue my In Real Life era! 👋 There’s a part of me that wanted to start the sleeping era this morning though 🥱 why is it still so dark?!

I’d just like to acknowledge HOW important meeting in real life is. It feels like a drug I’ve forgotten to take for a while and it’s making me better. Meeting in real life with wonderful, kind, friendly, trying to make a better world people! Thank you #KendalMountainFestival & #UKCharityCamp

I made a starter pack for #UKCHarityCamp folk - reply if you're here and want to be included go.bsky.app/16ijY71

And that's a wrap! Thank you to everyone who came along to #UKCharityCamp today. We hope you got as much out of it as we did. Keep an eye out for some blogging coming your way. Keep in touch! Safe journeys home 🙏

So many options! What would you choose? I forgot how fun in person conferences are. Seeing old friends, meeting new ones! #UKCharityCamp

A great first day @kendalmountainfest.bsky.social I can see why people keep returning year after year! @righttoroam.bsky.social talk, @katebradbury.bsky.social talk and lots of Komoot fun! Feeling inspired and excited to see what tomorrow brings.

National parks have huge potential and with proper funding can achieve so much for nature restoration, climate change, mental health and more… nationalparksengland.org.uk/news/why-we-...

John Prescott gave us 2 new national parks for the 50th anniv of the 1949 Act, what will this government do for the 75th? campaignerkate.wordpress.com/2024/11/22/j... ? @campaign4parks.bsky.social @theramblers.bsky.social @openspacessociety.bsky.social @jayneyb.bsky.social

On my way to Kendal Mountain Festival today. I’m on a panel with Komoot about all things thru hiking on Sunday morning and will be mooching about at talks and films and things all weekend. Let me know if you’re there? #KMF

Made my first starter pack for national parks and nature folk. Will add lots more as I find them… go.bsky.app/StoT2AW

England’s national parks face a 12% real-terms cut to their budget which would lead to mass redundancies of wardens and the closure of visitor centres and other facilities, park leaders have warned. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Another incredible book from Elif Shafak. Such magical story telling with so many facts and truths and lessons. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

Saw this on Rajeeb Day’s LinkedIn and couldn’t agree more. Sometimes going against the grain isn’t crazy or weird or stupid but exactly what the world needs.

🤍

I said it wouldn’t all be my dog, but it’s a snow day here on the edge of the Peak District so I couldn’t resist!

Oh hey gang! This place is already feeling so positive compared to ‘other’ places. Promise it won’t all be my dog on here, there will be more informative things about national parks, climate change, glamping, books and supporting local! Maybe a few rants about billionaires thrown in too!?
