With so much bad shit going on in the world right now, it was a true pleasure to ride in the New Orleans Pride parade today with good friends. What joy and happiness and a true sense of community and love. It gave me some fuel for hope.

When you are not a fan of thunder in a city where there is a lot of thunder in the summer.

Watching the Andor season 2 finale and immediately rolling into Rogue One makes that ending really hit that much harder. I will miss you C-c-c-cassian.

I love video games. I am on my 4th play though of Days Gone (remastered) and I am still so sad that this game did not get the attention I think it deserved. This is a truly great game. I am also sad there will be no part 2. Also Sarah rocks.

This is the hero we all wish to be.

My younger son is writing his senior college thesis on corvid (crows, ravens, jays) co-evolutionary adaptation living among humans and how they can use human infrastructure to survive in the environment better. He has taught me just how cool crows are. This is a fascinating study.

My Blue Devils in the final four! LGD!

All Hail Sion James!

Cool cool cool. Power out on my block uptown and the weather is perfect. Another day in the New Orleans paradise.

Something to be said for living in a neighborhood where I can walk to the local brewery and catch a game. Also GTHC!

Anora is in incredible film. Mikey Madison deserved the Oscar and it was sweet and funny and sad and beautifully written and directed.

Nothing at Mardi Gras is better than the bands. They make the whole experience and I am always in awe of how great and hard working they are.

Trying to find some joy in a crazy. messed up world. Come out and see us tonight for King Arthur (two days late). We are on Float 39A, Neutral ground. Bottom, Front. Almost last but hope to still see some folks out there! I got some grails I made (below but others too)! #nolasky #nola #mardigras

My sons (21 and 24) are two of the greatest humans I know. Wife is out of town so they came over and we made dinner and had wine and they remain two of the greatest humans I know. I feel so lucky. Holding the people I love most close to me is helping get me through this trying time.

That feeling when the blower motor on your house heating unit goes out right before the snowstorm of the century...

A program in Brazil that gives a monthly cash sum to families living in poverty has an unexpected — and welcome result. A new study shows that it is dramatically reducing tuberculosis rates.

Post an Onion headline that lives in your head rent-free.

I gotta say, that leftover turkey and sausage gumbo turned out just right for this "cold" night in New Orleans.

Perfect night for football. Roll Wave!

Proud of this work that @grumpy-scientist.bsky.social and the whole team put into this. Always rewarding to see a study come to fruition.

I almost wished for Jameis to beat the Saints (I didn't really) but I really want Jameis to beat the Steelers because I love Jameis.
