Imagine booing a player that has helped you win so much and been respectful about how he is leaving while he still plays for you.

"You'll never walk alone", as they boo a player who helped them win the title this season.

Why can players never feel when it is so obviously a game where you just can’t screw around with the ball? I was screaming to get the ball upfield for 15 seconds before Saliba gave it away. Everyone could feel it. Everyone except the players.

Dani Carvajal isn’t fit to carry Saka’s boots.

MLS made a mistake there, but he didn't make a foul. It was 100% a dive. Again, what's the point of VAR?

A classic VAR genre: the “I’m not going to show up my mate” non-decision.

Never a pen. VAR still broken.

We made another bad defense look robust today.

I want to live in a world where that isn’t a handball on Heaven. But we don’t live in that world. Unlucky but the handling allowed him to maintain control of the ball and kept it from squirting away from him. It’s a handball.

@jowrotethis.bsky.social @robmahoney.bsky.social if anyone – like me – was drawn to the poster in Gemma and Marc’s study, I found it antiqueposters.com/Banque-Natio...

Episode 500! @okwonga.bsky.social and @ryanhunn.bsky.social round up some football before opening the mailbag and answering questions on: - The most Stadio manager - Being Sporting Director at Milan - Neymar's career - Dream guests and fixtures to get to Up now wherever you get your podcasts!

@lordsoflimited.bsky.social Behind but loved the discussion on Unlimited 15. One more thought on the hybrid scale - Cs are really the cards that need the number scale bc they’re the inflection point. If the “it’s a 2 but it doesn’t matter so it’s a 0” example applies…aren’t those just Ds/Fs?

We were rubbish tbf. But I’m not too mad at the players - we are so thin.

In what universe does Sterling claim that free kick?

In isolation, that's a red card for Myles Lewis-Skelly. But you cannot evaluate the incident without accounting for the foul by Mohammed Kudus on Myles Lewis-Skelly to start the break. He runs him over from behind, elbows him in the back, and doesn't get a touch on the ball.

Was it part of Declan’s transfer agreement that he be terrible against WHU at least once a season?

@jowrotethis.bsky.social I didn’t get my stuff together in time for the mailbag but my 10-year-old (precocious) daughter and I started Buffy a few weeks back and it has provided some wonderful bonding time for the two of us. I have to thank you for the nudge because of your love for the show

Ethan Nwaneri's goal ended a passing sequence of 36 uninterrupted passes in a move that lasted one minute & 54 seconds and involved every Arsenal outfield player. It was the longest passing move leading to a Premier League goal since September 2023.

They simply had to

FROM THE TOP ROPE

That was an amazing win AND I’d still like to know why there wasn’t even a commentator word about Bernardo Silva kicking a player on the ground.

COYG

Stay humble.

I need someone to tell me why kicking out at a player on the ground after the whistle is gone isn’t a card of any kind.

The referee has lost the plot now.

Uh Silva just kicked him on the ground? Where's the red?

Silva with violent conduct that would have been a red for an Arsenal player.

Seriously, though. If an Arsenal player kicked an opponent who was lying on the ground, there would be calls for a 2-match ban.

So we’re not going to talk about the kick into Trossard? Unbelievable

Bernardo Silva just kicked Trossard on the floor. After whistle blown. Not even gonna look at it?

Ladies and gentlemen, Darren England.

Get fucked, PGMOL.

The entire problem (well, absent the corruption) summarized by PGMOL. They aren’t there to get calls correct, they’re there to back up their mates and lash out when criticized.

That red card has left such a sour taste in my mouth. I really try to avoid referee conspiracy talk, but that's just another decision - in a season of shitty decisions - that get given against Arsenal and nobody else. It's not violent conduct, he's not denying a goalscoring opportunity. I'm done.

Remember, Wolves got away with this earlier in the season against us.

The red card came minutes after Joao Gomes was NOT shown a second yellow for a high sliding challenge, from behind, on Declan Rice that stopped an Arsenal chance at the top of the Wolves box. By the way.

My head is absolutely gone. This season has been draining enough without these incompetent, attention seeking frauds dictacting more results for us. Every week I'm watching leg breaking challenges, elbows and studs on shins go unpunished - yet that's a red card. Fuck off.

Remember when Michael Oliver thought this was nothing
