Just another neurodivergent techie. Expect to see me talk about computer networks, feminism, human rights, and autism--and how they are connected. Delcared un-American by the US government.

Today's Black Feminist is Ashlee Marie Preston does amazing activist work, and takes time to educate the rest of us about transphobia, misogyny, and racism, and how these work together. Here she's talking about transmisogynoir (it does mention sex assault): www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/feat...

ALL that is important to the non-profit industrial complex is their funding. Whether it is RAINN, 988, Whitman-Walker, or someone else, they don't serve vulnerable people. They serve their money. I don't want non-profits to have to lay off people either. But if you don't serve us, why even exist?

WYOMING: “Thank you, Madam chairman.” “I prefer ‘Mister’ chairman.” “Well you all voted preferred pronouns cannot be compelled speech.”

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

Any place I am that requires me to use a male bathroom, I'll do so. I'll grab my hiking STP device, hike up a skirt, and pee at the urinal, preferably right next to some random dude there. And, yes, this autistic will engage in small talk there. If this is the world they want, I'll give it to them.

I'm gonna keep reposting examples of people not taking shit because it's important for us to see that you can, simply, reject the shit. Say "Uh... no no no, we will not be tolerating that."

NEW: Whitman Walker, a LGBTQ health center in Washington DC, has scrubbed its site of descriptions of gender affirming care services. This is pure cowardice and stabbing the trans community in the back. While services are not affected, it will limit access to resources if patients can't find them.

I'm reminded of 20 years ago when I lived in the dorms. Someone vandalized the bathroom and the floor was threatened with loss of bathroom privileges. I responded to the college admin in a town hall saying, "No problem, I can shit in the elevator."

Today’s Black Feminist for Black History Month is from Brazil. Marielle Franco was an politician who advocated for Brazil’s poorest in Brazil. The speech she would have given 3 days after her death is haunting to me as an American watching America attempt the same thing. rioonwatch.org?p=58297

Trans travel guide updates - USA Alabama - State facility bathroom ban and transphobic definition of legal sex passed legislature, pending governor's signature, not yet law but may be soon. USA Utah - Trans prisoner healthcare ban, passed but not yet signed by Gov. travelwhiletrans.com

1. NEW: Emails exclusively leaked to MadyCast News reveal that a lawyer with the domestic violence nonprofit NNEDV told workers to “unpublish the whole LGBTQIA section,” and to “remove the option for non-binary”. They also removed some resources for immigrants. www.madycast.com/p/domestic-v...

Are you a transgender, nonbinary, or gender non-conforming federal employee whose job has been impacted by the actions of the Trump administration? Lambda Legal wants to hear from you! Share your experience: buff.ly/4hLqoJj

Today, the Black feminist I’m honoring is Maya Angelou. She did so much, it’s hard to pick what to share about her. But in these evil times, it’s good to be reminded of how she saw struggle as a Black woman: www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/46446/...

Trans travel guide update - US Kansas - Trans youth healthcare is now banned. This seems to ban ethical talk therapy. It also bans the state from participating in social transitions of youth, which is horrific news for youth in state care. travelwhiletrans.com

Ex NFL player @chriswarcraft.bsky.social protesting the inclusion of a MAGA acronym in the Huntington Beach library plaque at last night’s council meeting. He was arrested and cited.

"Transgender" still shows no search results on RAINN's site. RAINN is the largest abuse survivor organization in the US and decided that trans folks who were abused should be sacrificed in a misguided attempt to keep their funding. Of course it won't even do that, it'll just hurt trans survivors.

Today’s Black Feminist is Pauli Murray. If you don’t know about this gender-nonconforming lawyer/organizer/priest and all Pauli did, you didn’t learn American History. Just 1 of the things Pauli did: created legal theory that helped overturn education discrimination. www.aaihs.org/how-pauli-mu...

Almost like they aren't going to leave the LGB alone while they go after the TQ+.

I know how Cybertrucks hold up to rain. I have no idea how they hold up to urine though. If anyone finds out, I'd love to know, since they are, after all, vehicles for the apocalypse that the company's founder is busy trying to create.

I could care less about the “right” of trans people to join the US military and enact imperialist violence on marginalized people around the world. But it’s crucial to understand these attacks as part of a broader effort to erase trans people from public life and codify anti-trans job discrimination

Today's Black feminist is Laverne Cox. While she's best known for her acting, she advocates on for trans women and particularly Black trans women. In the video below, she shows she can hold her own in a theory discussion with bell hooks--it's long but worth it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oMm...

I like my autistic brain. I like my ADHD brain. Does that mean it is always pleasant? Of course not. I mean some executive function would be nice to have too! But I am not the risk to civilization RFK Jr. thinks I am. His anti-vaccine, "we're sick because of radio waves" beliefs are.

RAINN tweeted this right after the inauguration. Apparently they meant you are never alone only if you aren't trans, nonbinary, or queer.

#TransToo. As a survivor of sexual assault, I am without words that won’t get me banned for people like RAINN abandoning trans folk. You either stand with victims against power or you don’t. Their site used to have resources for trans folk. They don’t now.

It is shameful that RAINN, representing sexually abused people, erased trans people because they are scared of Trump. To any org censoring themselves: you cannot jettison trans to save yourself. Yes, if you don't, other groups may suffer, and you might too. But we are all in this together.

Seeing how sexual assault support non-profits are removing us (trans folk) from sexual assault support services, I believe we MUST create sexual assault support services with national (USA) scope that *SPECIFICALLY* support trans survivors. Who can we work with that knows how to do this?

As someone who grew up in Wyoming, and who worked for the State of Wyoming for about 10 years in Cheyenne, I’ll just say THIS IS NOT TYPICAL FOR WYOMING. People in Wyoming aren’t people who protest everything. I never saw a protest this large at the capitol.

10,000 people apparently showed up at Union Square in NYC today
