I posted this 10 minutes before my mother texted me about Houston’s. Little did I know how well timed it was. (This was posted in light of another meh dinner at Moondance last night, for the record)

I need some new spots. What’s the best new restaurant you’ve eaten in at in Memphis this year?

Really happy with the way this turned out. Never done this particular cut before. Wish it had been butchered better, but the flavor was 👨‍🍳💋

Feeding my people brings me joy. It’s stressful and exciting and scary and wonderful all at once. 3 days in a row now, I’ve gotten to do it. Thursday: yeast rolls for 18. Friday: a 4lb meatloaf, mac & cheese, and roasted broccoli for 10. Today, for the finale, strip roast & Brussels for 12.

My submission: beautiful, buttery yeast rolls.
