A desert storm over red #slickrock. From imagination and memories about 10 years ago. Such a different feel from the next posted piece with the window frames which affect a sunny scene.

A view thru vintage window frames of #GhostRanch meadow, trees and #pedernal painted about 5-7 years ago. I look at each frame in the window as a complete composition. Looking at this image, I would like to paint this again. #TaosStudioTour

You are right. But it's 2025. Talking about it as if it will happen is how politics works. It also forces right wing media to talk about it and if there is enough Dem proposed legislation, Trump and Elon have to respond to the Dems rather than vice versa

A triptych of Northern New Mexico. I like painting triptychs because I get play with composition across 3 paintings. Some customers buy to have them hung separately and others hang them as one piece. Click on art to see all three paintings #NewMexico #Dixon #Taos #Taosart #TaosStudioTour

“Paintings germinate like a seed; in the dark soil and recesses of the living coral of the mind They grow like a plant, slowly putting out shoots, they need pruning, meditating on, while the roots grow in the dark.”

Work ready for a #TaosStudioTour several years ago. These all found their forever homes.

2 different gardens, 2 different styles & vibes. Left-painted in an old window frame & right is on vintage door. I paint on finds from Restore-Habitat for Humanity which sells used building goods/furniture and builds homes for people. Jimmy Carter volunteered with them. Please click to see fully

Near #GhostRanch #NewMexico. It's often painted by artists; the light changes the cliffs' colors so that every painting is different and true. I painted this with a freedom that I still admire today, at least 7 years after I painted it. I am very lucky to live here and to have the freedom to paint.

This painting's challenge for me were the brush strokes in the sky. Re-did that part again and again. Topics were brush strokes, space and light.
