I would suggest checking out NovemBEAR to unravel the deep lore of these words and phrases, but be prepared to be further confused by others, such as "pulsating".

As we wrap up this event, we ask you for just a few minutes of your time to let us know how you felt about the jam!
Any feedback is useful, from anyone who was in any way involved in the jam (whether they submitted a VN or they didn't).

Barring AI garbage, I won't rate anything below three stars. Just the sheer effort of putting a vn together deserves at least that much, knowing what goes into it. Five is my default, four if it needs a significant amount of obvious polish, and three is reserved only for if it is almost unplayable.

Careful, Luca! You could blind somebody with that...

π I'm sorry to hear that as well. If I say I'm going to do something for someone, I try to do it as quickly and nicely as possible, regardless of compensation, and the thought of someone taking a paid commission and not only falling through, but refusing to respond for that long is unconscionable.

41 here, though I've only done a few basic, not very good fvn game jam games this year π

I had eye troubles for the last week and a half, which slowed down work considerably. I have glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, so I was concerned about having bigger issues, but after visiting the eye doctor earlier this month, he believes it to be ocular migraines, albeit a rather long occurrence.

I remember you being concerned about that before. It's sad to have to sit on an idea that keeps burning in your mind, but at least you know what it takes to put a story together now, and the best way to improve is to keep doing more. It's a respectable decision. Doing something still means progress!

One of the reasons, yes! π I hope you enjoy the story. I didn't get a chance to give it a final proof or implement everything I wanted before the deadline, so parts of it are a bit rough. Thanks for the follow!

No worries; I'm still a basic beginner myself, plus I never had time to go back through and proofread or check my game other than to make sure it didn't crash, so quite a few mistakes and unpolished parts got through π

I checked out what you've got so far, and really enjoyed the artwork! I can't comment on the rest just yet until there's a bit more, but you certainly have a decent start!

That is one of the good parts of a game jam; it gives you an incentive to learn. My stuff is still very basic, but I try to learn a few new skills with each project.
I had never even touched Ren'Py before until partway through May Wolf earlier this yearπ

π₯ There were several projects I was looking forward to thar didn't make it across the finish line, but it is understandable. The one month crunch is real. Hopefully your idea can still see the light of day in the future.

There's also the conundrum whether they're actually a rabbit or a hare that can get a bit heated π I know of a few games, but for as prolific a species as they are, they don't appear as often as one would expect.
