There will probably be celebrations this year to mark the 60th anniversary of the film version of The Ipcress File, so let me put on record now my disappointment that the adaptation omitted one of the most remarkable sentences in world literature:

Tallulah Bankhead in Lifeboat. One of my favorite GIFs ever.

Ruby Keeler in Dames (1933). Or (1932).

Rosalind Russell with slick moves in The Women (1939).

Dancing Lady (1933). A different era.

Crawford and Gable working out in Dancing Lady (1933).

Bette Davis making an entrance in The Letter (1941).

Safety Last

Myrna Loy in Test Pilot (1938), aka Top Gun before Top Gun with Gable, Tracy, Barrymore, and Loy.

A clip from the first movie I ever saw.

Nothing to see here.

Mustang (2015). Might be my favorite movie.

Reposting some old GIFs that once lived on that other site. Here's Mae Clarke, in Waterloo Bridge (1931), looking absolutely modern.
