Insurance in ALL forms needs to have a government option to end the blatant scamming. As @mcuban.bsky.social put it, thank regulatory capture. We're PUBLICLY forced to buy extortionately unaffordable PRIVATE insurance for house/auto/etc, then hire lawyers to get livelihood-dependent claims approved.
