I left work with an irrepressible grin on my face. My teens started reading The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline and they loved it. It's a dystopian book that explores indigenous rights and history through an imagined future. Guys! You could hear a pin drop. This is the power of story. 💙

For the millionth time (but this time for real, though!) I have decided to shelf this novel. It would be my fourth book and I never thought I would just give up on a book that is almost finished...but I'm doing it. I'm sorry to my characters, but the plot is just too much of a mess. :(
