Why walk a red carpet when you can chase a ball, run down it and leap off it? #DailyChester

In other words, American military strategy, like every other government policy, is now to be determined by X (Twitter) moderators. 👍🏼

I’m quite strongly and vocally anti Nazi/antifascist, openly gay, a vocal advocate for women’s equality and have actively brought pedophiles to justice. Besides taking potshots at strangers simply because they’re religious, and posting memes… what have you done for the “revolt”?

Dear men: no one is telling you this. You’re being told that when “having a beer” involves catcalling women, making racist and homophobic jokes, or thinking drinking gives you the right to destroy property or abuse people you’re not “being a man” you’re being a terrible person. Grown ups get this.

On X it was the fundamentalist Christian right who constantly trolled me. Here it’s going to be the atheist left. But you know what? The atheist left tends to have more legitimate criticism to make. And they’re generally more polite in making it. (Most of the time).

The White House tweeted an ASMR video of someone being deported. They literally made an ASMR video of the sounds of human suffering and proudly shared it. “Whoever mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished.” - Proverbs 17:5

To be fair, he’s never actually read it himself.

If you vote for someone who will be harsh and uncaring towards those you don’t like, you are voting for a harsh, uncaring person who won’t treat you and your concerns any differently. If your vote is motivated by fear and hate, you will get leadership that thrives on generating more of both.

Me: I dunno about this haircut. James: What’s wrong with it? Me: I don’t usually go this short. You don’t think this crew cut is a little “Nazi Youth”? James: Don’t be silly! (Pause) James: No one’s going to think you’re a youth. Me: That’s it. I’m getting extensions.

ATTN probationary feds: if you’re too new to have a performance eval and your sups are friendlies, ask them for an interim evaluation and keep a hard copy.

This is who, 30 days ago, the Washington Post endorsed for Senate confirmation. Saying that DOJ "filed charges" intentionally misleads people into thinking DOJ took criminal action. It's just a civil lawsuit. Support @atrupar.com and independent media like him.

If they're going to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America on Google maps, then I propose the following. It's only fair! (And it also serves to show how ridiculous this naming dispute is)

“That’s what keeps me up at night,” said Kreis, the law professor at Georgia State University. “If members of Congress don’t stand up for their own authority and power, nobody else is going to.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Not sure if Prime Video's #CleanSlate is for you? Star/EP George Wallace would like a word.

It is inevitable. The question everyone should be asking is: then what? 🇺🇸

this is the sort of thing you post when you’re ramping up to defying lawful court orders

Love how everything Brad Pitt is talking about right now— the reasons why America is so great— has been effectively defunded or deemed unlawful by executive order this week.

BASH: I remember a time when Republicans were very careful about the government having access to personal data NOEM: Well, we can't trust the government anymore BASH: You are the government

"It is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is." - Marbury v. Madison (1803).

NOEM: “You can’t trust the government.” BASH: “You are the government.”

“A very obvious coup”

NEW: I just met @georgetakei.bsky.social and he has a very important message for everyone:

The federal government *regularly* spends money to encourage behavior it couldn’t compel directly. Like paying states to build roads or fund healthcare for those who can’t afford it. It’s called the Spending Clause—and it’s the very first enumerated power that the Constitution gives to Congress. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Punxsutawney Phil predicts four more years of fascism.

Next time Republicans lecture about religious freedom, remember this. www.friendsjournal.org/quakers-sue-...
