I think the "wrong about autism" framing is kind of problematic broadly. He's not "wrong." He's a eugenicist who believes disabled people don't belong in our society. He doesn't believe in human rights. He believes you are only valuable to society if you can fight a war or contribute economically.

This. Even though tarrifs get passed along to the consumer, the importing business still has to pay that up front and hope that people will buy goods at the higher price. For some things, importers will decide it's not worth the risk and simply not offer that product.
