The attempted swiftboating of Tim Walz reminds me of a Gulf War story. One of our biggest air bases in that conflict was at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, home of the Saudi Royal Air Force. The first US presence in Jeddah was an Air National Guard tanker unit.
