Too many people aren't using alt text and I'm about to start blocking

Need some emotional support? This is my favorite Emotional Support Chicken ever. Coastal Cotton and Cairns. This looks so huggable on a day that the weather (at least here) sucks! #knitsky #knitting www.mindseyeyarns.com/products/cai...

Uhhh, check out the anthology I'm in with some good friends: Transcendence, linked here: a.co/d/5AKenqM #LateNightWrite

#LateNightWrite It's been real! My vampire romance book came out last Tuesday! I think it's pretty neat and other people have said so too, so maybe you'll like it? 🤭 Find it here: books2read.com/silverblood or on itch: tallimorgan.itch.io/silver-blood

Thanks for joining our #LateNightWrite! Here's an opportunity to promote your writing: let us know where to find your projects! Not feeling like promo? Share a pet pic or meme that made you laugh recently!

Ewan and Bea enjoy mushroom hunting and often go together in search of the best patches. Bea enjoys sweeter foods and misses the easy access to tropical fruit that city life gave her. Ewan tends to eat whatever's in front of him, but he has a softness for shitty diner pancakes. #LateNightWrite

Third question: what kinds of foods do your characters enjoy? Are they adventurous or picky? Do any foods spark memories, good or bad? #LateNightWrite

In Pines, food is connection. In the woods, no one person can produce or acquire everything they need, so the villagers work together to make sure everyone gets what they need and more. These bonds are reiterated in the feasts and parties they use to honor each other's contributions. #LateNightWrite

Second question: What kind of cuisines and food habits (vegan/veggie/other?) feature in your worlds? Do your cultures practice any rituals or customs around eating? Does food have a value beyond mere sustenance? #LateNightWrite

Food features more in Pines than in Architects. I think exploring the culture and contexts behind food and food production can provide additional insights into the world, such as what foods are and are not available and what foods are considered valuable. #LateNightWrite

First Question: From the sumptuous feast, to the meal on the go, to the earthy handmade fare, or the dubiously grey ProteinBlock3000, how does food feature in your works? Do you include it or exclude it, why? #LateNightWrite

Hey #LateNightWrite, I'm your host, Joe! I dabble in spec fic with a horror bent and my two primary projects are Architects, a queer space opera, and Pines, a queer witchy folk horror set in the PNW. My go-to snack is really anything sweet/salty and crunchy.

Let's kick off tonight's #LateNightWrite with introductions: tell is about yourself and your WIP(s)! Bonus question: favourite snack food?

Don't forget, #LateNightWrite is happening in just under an hour! Hope to see you there! #WritingCommunity #WritingChat
