the timing and content is suggestive. this disgraced fired cop lied on the gang information form, with info that was on its face absurd, and it suggests he lied about his crimes and lied to harm people arrested. maybe every arrest of his should be reevaluated?

indeed. most "constitutional jurisdictions" are avoiding the inevitable legal liability for violating the rights of wrongly detained people without a judicial warrant, which happens when a sloppy agency issues detainers and local governments assume it's legal to hold the person named.

So many self-inflicted wounds. Reckless or intentional as to catastrophic damage to systems and thus the people they serve or keep safe? I’ll label it malicious and move on. I admit I’ve lost the ability to worry about all of them. There’s too many! The advice is, pick a lane and do your best.

This ICE declarant “understands” nothing. There is no such thing as post-hoc invalidation of a lawful grant of withholding due to a future act which makes a person ineligible. If they want to get rid of it, they have to go through a process. They didn’t.
